Need Advice!! How can I steal $200 from a GAF member for heroin as soon as possible?

Kipps, this really sucks. OP should man up and find a way to pay it back. This isn't the first the time that people on here. It's nice to help, but.. it has happened too many times I feel.

It reminds me of the pre-neogaf era when some kid came in here with a story of how it was going to be a sad christmas because his little sister was not going to get a brand new Nintendo DS (which was new at the time), and gaffers got together and bought them a Nds with a few games. Some guy was hardcore trying to white knight the whole thread, setting up everything, attacking peope who were noting strange issues with the story; anyhow the kid posted suspicious pics of a little girl holding a nds box, and I believe, never posted again.

Sucks. In the XBONE Mountain Dew/Doritos Code thread there was a dude asking for codes. I gave him a bunch. Couple days pass and he's selling the codes on NeoGAF in the same freaking thread. Unbelievable. Dude didn't get banned for that...it looks like this OP hasn't been banned either. You think scamming people is against the ToS...but I guess not.
 
Sadly I know people like this in real life. I wouldn't be surprised if he simply abandoned his Gaf profile because he knows no good will come out of this anymore.

Give him a call anyway. I wouldn't wait too long with this, you're completely in your right to put a little pressure on him. Who knows, maybe he really does have a legitimate reason for not being able to pay you back yet (although that seems unlikely now that some people found out that he bought a 2DS and some other stuff).

If you're really that uncomfortable about calling him yourself you can always ask someone else to call him for you, maybe even someone you trust here on Gaf.
 
Kipp, you're too nice for your own good and you shouldn't let OP walk over you like this. Just call his number and find out what he's up to. It's just a phone call so nothing will happen.

Unless he promised you he wouldn't resell the codes, that's not a "scam."
It's just being kind of a lousy person.

In fairness, I've been where this guy has been, so I can sympathize. I'd feel badly berating him in that way.
From the posts I've seen, he's not some out of control drug addict, he's just a guy who's self-medicating his anxiety and depression with mild doses of a legal drug that has similar effects to opiates.
With that said, it was still unwise to loan to a guy like that, but I could relate to him and I know I would never do something like this to someone else.

Regardless, I do appreciate the encouragement.

Kipp, I hope you don't let bad experiences in loaning/giving people money dissuade you from helping others out in the future. People like you make the world a better place, and there will always be those who seek to exploit the generosity in those who are giving. As someone else mentioned, just think of it as an act of total charity and wish the recipient well on his travels. If we all loosened our grip on our resources and relented a bit on the greed that permeates our society, imagine how things might be.

Not sure what banning him would accomplish. It's just one less way for you to contact the person the scammed you. It makes more sense to keep that line open especially since he could've given a fake number.
 
I wonder if OP ever managed to reach platinum on Club Nintendo. He can't afford to pay bills but he has time to buy new games to get those unique sweet rewards.

OP was too high to realise that there are probably desperados out there who would have paid him more than $200 for his (now worthless) GAF account.

GAF accounts aren't worth much really, considering a mod can just IP track an account and ban sold ones.
