Stupid character poses/animations

Ugh.

I always found this animation weird because there's no clean flow to any of it, it's like... a jumble of frames.

I'm about as far as you can get from being a MGS fan so every time I see this animated GIF I have to cringe

Personally, Vanille's pose and run wasn't annoying at all to me. She's got a bubbly personality anyway so her acting different for the sake of it didn't bother me at all.

Her dialogue and summoning on the other hand...

Sorry Yoshi P but I think this is just retarded...

I think you're just lacking a sense of humour.

I dunno, I know people with bubbly personalities and they still act their age...and the last time I saw anyone run like that was in elementary school

"Bent knees inward" (or whatever it's called) is the worst

It also reminds me that some people actually are attracted to women acting like little girls and that creeps me out.

I think it all started with girls expected to have their knees together when wearing skirts, but they had to keep their thighs flat on the chair so they would part their ankles a bit.

Now it's some definitive feminine posture of trying to overtly modest to all onlooking eyes.

Funny you post that gesture. I actually hate that one, not because I'm salty from losing since I can take a 'Well what is it?' from a Giant Dad any day. It just doesn't fit in the Dark Souls universe and looks really dumb because of that. That was From jumping the shark as far as gestures went. Hope there isn't anything like that in Bloodborne.

This is the epitome of "No fun allowed." Part of the Souls series charm are those kind of incongruous elements. Gavlan's "Gavlan wheel, Gavlan deal" or Solaire's praising of the sun complete with posing are part of what makes these games memorable.

Good lord.

On that note, I was about to mention some of the postures in Dragon Age Inquisition. Everyone would have the same weird hunch with their arms crossed limply at the front whenever they spoke to you. It really bothered me; whilst not as garish as some of the knock-kneed penguin footed poses above, it just looks awkward.
It bothered me how every woman had the same exaggerated walk/run. I couldn't control a female character for too long cause it was so distracting. lol

Kakyoin knows his fabulous Bishie levels are off the fucking chart.
That's rubber soul though.

I really hate Lina's idle animation.

Whyyyyyy are you always trying to air out your panties Lina? Please.

Her sister is much better at levitating than she is.

That too! I played as a Qunari female the first time and was constantly noticing how daintily she ran around...I'm not sure that a 7ft tall sturdy-thighed mercenary should run that way.

The Japanese and a few other east asians are genetically prone to genu valgum (knock-knee syndrome) and a few other leg problems.

I guess it became cute and trendy over time to embellish the effects and now it's called 'X-kyaku'. If you have lemons make lemonade.

Kind of like how the common trait of having pronounced canines became 'yaeba'.
