Is City of darkness any good?
Art is fantastic and it's got a pretty good story. I'm enjoying it.
It's got the Feng Shen Ji deal of fully colored chapters. While I like FSJ, City of Darkness has way more likable characters.
Dat Lan Fan too.
It's the rest of what they intended to be part of last week's chapter. They did it to avoid taking another break, if I remember correctly.

Also, it seems like this is mostly
Hishoko's arc resolving the character arc that Hayama brought up earlier (she lives for Erina which isn't a very good way to become the top chef at anything). My guess is she gives up the secretary position and just acts as Erina's friend, and just gets sort of tsundere for Soma. I don't think she's actually gonna full on join the harem Nikumi style.

I think its a breather arc and I think its Hishoko's arc, rather than anything to do with Soma. Soma is probably there to facilitate character development and resolving her character arc - if you recall, Hayama tells her that she sucks because she spends all her time worshiping Erina rather than improving her own skills. So far, she is actively showing off that particular problem, so she probably has to learn to stop doing that or she'll fail out.

I'm a bit curious to seeing if Soma can get a hint to his signature move this arc, that could be fun. I think Hishoko will generally just revert back to what she was pre-tournament again, just a bit warmer.
Yeah, that's so heavily telegraphed at this point that I don't think it'll draw any reaction out of me besides what it already did. Wouldn't surprise me if we go through all of the people damaged in the tournament before moving on to the next big thing.

now understand what Andre wants with the whole BSDM thing (even though he's actually still hallucinating about the vice prez) and even Kiyoshi is now wary since she's getting better at handling the stuff he normally uses to shake her

It is pretty generic, but the action is good and the characters are generally decent, if nothing particular, aside from Frog Girl, who's the best. Deku is a likable enough protagonist as well, in that he relies more on his smarts than his powers.
Not where exactly you are, but it does get more interesting when the villains get introduced.
It's still in its infancy, imho if you want to see where and how things are headed you have to wait at least June/July.

The chance that this ends with "Raku chooses no one but acknowledges that he likes Chitoge internally, but not externally" is like 100%. At this point the series actually needs a competing male love interest for some of the other characters.

As much as its another bad choice in terms of building a relationship with Raku, I have trouble faulting her for trying to help her friend stay in Japan. Its not like there are other options around that would placate claude and her father.
She should just move in with Marika. That would provide safety and hilarity.

This is one of the most videogame-like manga i've ever read. Even more than Basilisk.
Quite weird how it's obvious that the artist can draw as well as anyone in the biz, but actively goes out of his way to draw grotesque characters.
Also pretty sure that, even though the book never has less than 7 women involved in the tale, it fails the bechdel test.
Was a fun tale, tho.
