if im on steam whatd mods should i get and if i have to link it to the nexus mods can steam still track time and achievements etc (mostly time)
MORE MODS! Installed some new ones for the first time in a week or two. I had to get Paarthurnax Dilemma because I'm not killing my dragon buddy, hell no, and I'm also trying out Dungeon Quest Awareness, Two-Handed Rebalance, Dogs of Skyrim and Apex Werewolf (since I noticed there's a werewolf achievement, I'm finally going to actually start using it)...

Yeah you'll be fine. Steam still tracks everything unless you go into the command prompt.
This is what you're looking for BTW: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60445/?
even if i use the skse exe ? cos thats what that mod says is required ?
Ugh, AFT fucked itself, I can't have followers unfollow me and they aren't responding correctly to the mod. This might be game breaking.
If you want the full Steam overlay (chat notifications and stuff) while using SKSE, you have to rename some files. Can easily be done manually or with a little tool available on Nexus.if im on steam whatd mods should i get and if i have to link it to the nexus mods can steam still track time and achievements etc (mostly time)
It sucks that AFT breaks pretty much any quest with a forced follower, since they might not properly unfollow you afterwards and if they're supposed to die they can't...Yup.

Shit, that is scary. I have AFT as well (seems less buggy than UFO) but I don't really like to travel with more than one follower anyway, so I wonder if it's necessary. It just has so many other nice features!

Still, I roll with two followers both for fun and because I have to. Level 90+ Draugr with Deadly Combat installed do not mess around and I need a few human shields to even get past 2 of them. AFT seemed like the best of the three big follower mods when I tested them out, so AFT it is. Praise the nine for the "setstage" console command!
I'm not sure that everyone needs to do it but I am sure that I did.You sure? I have not renamed anything, and Achievements, notifications pop all the time when I play Skyrim and overlay works (shift-tab).
What a bizarre drama situation around that mod, I had no idea. Huh. (It's in an imgur link in the description.)

I only vaguely followed the shitstorm surrounding the mod. I know that it got taken down and the author banned from the Nexus because of the kickstarter and asking for donations on the mod page. Then there's the other thing about stealing content from a NWN2 which I don't know much about. Seems like some of the characters had all their dialog taken directly from that mod?
Oh lawd, that sounds like a nightmare to me. A Skyrim without a console to fix broken quests, reset aggro'd NPCs that are aggro for no reason, resurrecting important NPCs killed by a dumbass vampire attack and so on is a Skyrim I would've stopped playing a long time ago.Still no way to disable the console (for those of us with weaker will power)? I tried the ini file but it keeps reverting back to on (I set it to 0).
How modular are these mods anyway, if at all? Meaning if I like a vanilla tree, can I opt not to mess with that one with any of the above? For example, I like the vanilla lockpicking perks and do not want to make lockpicking harder or more involved, but some better melee perks would be sweet. Bethesda dropped the ball so hard on those.SkyRe, SPERG, PerMa
Forgotten Magic runs completely independantly from the vanilla magic system. At worst you might not get certain perk benefits applied to Forgotten Magic if you run a mod affecting vanilla magic (though I'm not even sure Forgotten Magic relies on perk benefits since it has its own progression system).
Most of the big perk overhauls like SkyRe, SPERG, PerMa rebalance the magic perks to make magic viable at higher levels. There's also Simple Magic Overhaul which drastically changes the way spellcasting and magicka works (also independant from perks).

Thanks for the answer!
So if I read this correctly you would advise against using Forgotten Magic Redone... hm, I really liked what I read about it on the mod page
I'm planning to start a new playthrough as mage - what would be your suggestion regarding magic overhauls.
Aww, just when I thought I couldn't like Zora from Interesting NPCs more than I already did, she has that monologue that unlocks after you complete the main quest... You're my (character's) best friend too, Zora!
I know this is my 50th post on the subject but if you're not playing with a 3DNPC follower (Zora or Rumarin seem to be the popular choices), you're missing out pretty badly. Install it already!
Yeah.... about that.... My game kept crashing to the desktop in the load screen when I had it installed. Fixed the problem by removing it. I can't try to predict the conflict there but that's not something 3DNPC does by itself. I've been running it for 200+ hours of play.Yeah.... about that.... My game kept crashing to the desktop in the load screen when I had it installed. Fixed the problem by removing it. Real shame.
LOL
Ok, I have to push this thread one more time. This is the purest irony of them all. I just basically uninstalled ALL my mods and BOOM, enemies are back again. Didn't take me long to figure out which mod caused the glitch. You wouldn't guess.... The friggin Unoffical Skyrim patch. WTF?! From all the mods I have installed... This ain't even funny... Guess that's it with the unofficial patches. Guess there's athe reason why they are unoffical. lol
Oh maaaaaaaaaaaaaan. I hope this actually legit happens.Overhead map collage of the work done so far on the region landscapes in Beyond Skyrim

It shouldn't be irrevocably damaged, no.Steam has really pissed me off. They took the Dawnguard dlc away from my library after accidentally giving it to me over a year ago. I was hesitant to even use it at first but people here advised I may aswell. Are my game saves ruined now since I already did some of the quests?
Awesome, but dat grass floor texture tho...Downsampled (Bicubic Sharper) to 1080p
