...I don't get that impression in the least. The only time it ever really comes up is people trying to qualify what they like by saying they like "seinen" as though that's meaningful.
I mainly had shonen magazines in mind, but even then they're also too diverse to broadly generalize their contents.

I keep forgetting Yamada still exists. It was great until the first saga ended and he got together with the main girl. Then the main girl got boring and the stories repetitive. Though I guess I'll give the series credit for not trying to drag out the main couple in a world where they kiss every chapter.

Color me suprised especially considering how much cliches and tropes were smashed into Black Clover. He seems to be playing it too safe, as the series itself can't identify itself. I mean at least Hungry Joker didn't seem like a mashup of other popular series.

I understand where you are coming but that's Shonen Jump. He created a interesting world with interesting characters in only two chapter. Look how the first chapters of BNHA had a lot in common with the start of Naruto and still manga's debut was very well received by jump readers. I'm reallly feeling it with Black Cover.
