Only thing i fear is that the production team will spread itself too thin, with the upcoming Supergirl and Arrow/Flash spin off. I hope im wrong though.

Berlanti Productions does have time to ramp up. They went from Arrow in 2012 to two shows in 2013 with Arrow and The Tomorrow People with a shorter Golden Boy to top it off. In 2014 they're juggling three shows already with Arrow, The Flash and The Mysteries of Laura while working on PAN.

Yea. There's no way they're not hiring lots of new people. They're on a verge of creating a true tv empire. No way they would screw up opporunity like that by being spread too thin.

Or it's going to completely crash and burn. It's my fear. Genre shows like this tend to have rocky first seasons. Rough starts that end well. The second season is almost always better, typically in every way. Like they took the first season, fixed it, and made it better. Supernatural, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Dollhouse, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Smallville (it's been awhile, but I recall S2 being just better than the first), Arrow, etc. But this has been such a quality first season, that I'm scared that S2 will just explode into a massive fiery death ball.

The Flash is a better character, with better villains, and better storylines to draw from than Green Arrow. There's at least 4 or 5 season long arcs they can make with Flash easily.

I haven't seen this spoiler trailer however I've read the posts. I don't mind the spoilers. I just can't wait for tomorrow! I need my weekly Flash dose. >.<

I feel like I could spend an hour dissecting the sizzle reel now that it's in HD. Like what's going on at 1:49 with Barry fighting
himself
?

That's not an objective claim you can make. Just because they have the capability and the potential does not mean they can execute. Your argument is basically saying if you have two people, both wanting to build a house, and one has infinitely more material resources than the other, then the person with infinite material resources will build a better house. That's just not an objective argument. Just because they have the resources, it does not mean that what they build will be better and more competent than the other. Now, I currently feel The Flash is a better show than Arrow. I know that Flash has a much larger set of mythos and more vast lore and broader history. That does not mean that The Flash will always maintain this level of quality.

I'm not being pessimistic, I'm being realistic. It's not a question of whether or not this show will stumble and falter. It's a question of when will it and when it does, how hard? My fear is that it will be incredibly hard and incredibly explosive.

Has anything so far this season or anything that the creators have said given that impression? Why would you think a drop in quality would be on a such catastrophic level?

It did already, in the last Rogues episode. Granted, as the only truly bad episode of the show, so far, it's just an outlier, but it gives a good glimpse at how bad things can get, and it bottoms out much lower than the lowest point of Arrow because, at least with Arrow, there are no superpowers to mismanage.

You're misreading my post. It's not that I think it will be catastrophic, or that I have the impression that it will be. It's my fear that it will be catastrophic.

I've enjoyed both Rogues' episodes immensely. My only issue with the last one was the logic they used for Barry to beat Cold and Heatwave.

Am I the only one hoping Grant Gustin hits the gym in between seasons? He'd go from adorable to hot with a bit more meat on his bones.

A nuke
Time travel
Reverse flash and flash
Atom
Fucking Grodd
Captain Cold
Heatwave
Luke Skywalker as the Trickster
And more

In one Fucking trailer

What a time to be alive

With all that is going down in Season 1, it's kind of baffling that we haven't seen Mirror Master yet. Hopefully he shows up in Season 2, along with the arrival of Captain Boomerang.

He's supposed to have a runner's body. I don't think they're going for a bigger Batman-esque build.
Have you seen college track and field athletes lately? He's not even REMOTELY close. I mean, it's season 1, so I can sort of get over it for now, but... I dunno, the beanpole look doesn't work long-term for me.

uh, runners in general tend to look like that, specially long distance runners.

Oh man, that shit is cray-cray.

Eddie losing his fucking mind is probably due to Grodd, but it's a nice inverse from when Flash lost his mind and Eddie thought he was an out-and-out villain.

Wells' identity is pretty much gonna be blown by the third to last episode, I think. I mean, we know it's happening, but still. I'm so anticipating that moment, it's going to be crazy!

Love that it looks like Laurel's gonna actually have some fun! I like that Cisco is geeking out over her being Black Canary and she's all sly about it. My girl!

And holy fuck, it looks like everyone's gonna wind up knowing that Barry is The Flash. Snart figures it out lickety-split.

Trickster looks fun! Grodd looks terrifying.

They can do the same thing with Arrow. I'm still holding out hope for Outsiders War and SuperMAX storylines.

That trailer looks SUPER HYPE but as others said, I'm kind of scared as to where they go next season and the season after that with this. Too much cool stuff going down in one season!

Alright so after watching the trailer again I have some major SPOILERY questions...

At 1:51 who is the blonde girl sitting in the chair? More importantly what is that place behind her with the ceiling covering what looks like a city? Could it be future Central City? Could she be Gideon? Could the ceiling covered city have something to do with the Red Skies?

At 1:48 there are two people in Flash costumes fighting. Are they both Barry or is one an impostor?

In the trailer Captain Cold says "Nice to see you, Barry" Does Captain Cold find out his identity?!

First question
Bug-Eyed Bandit played by Emily Kinney. She's a tech using thief who built robotic bees. This is also supposed to be the episode where Ray and Felicity cross over from Arrow. Hopefully we see Atom shrink to fight robotic bees.

Second
No one knows for sure yet. Could be a shapeshifter, could be Barry fighting himself or an imposter.

Third
Clearly he does. Whether it sticks or not will be more interesting considering we're going to deal with time travel soon. One amazing theory I saw elsewhere today is that Flash asks Cold for help against Reverse Flash.

Grodd for next season

My guess for the Eddie things is totally
Grodd
.
His possible descent into ZOOM if it ever happens, should be gradual.

Brings up another interesting point
Eobarde Thawne Reverse Flash had plastic surgery to look like Barry. What if Eddie goes a bit crazy, gets trapped in the future, and comes back as Harrison Wells?

Captain Cold helps Flash out quite a bit, oddly enough. And Barry's identity probably doesn't stay secret past a season or two. Everyone knew about Wally.

Also it's nice that Barry doesn't have a super shredded body like the entire cast of Arrow. Probably nice for Gustin too, Amell has trouble maintaining his physique with the demanding hours.

Holy shit. Between the new trailer of Arrow and Flash new trailers, the end of seasons will be insane.

Chesthair
Eddie being a tool
ATOM
Justice League Doom. OMFG. The special wrist bomb

Season 2 is gonna be insane.

It might be worse. Season one is fast paced because they did not think there will be another one. Now that the Flash is audience magnet and is an established series, i doubt that the pace will stay as fast.
