After watching that trailer, it only reaffirms my beliefs that they need to drop the whole
Barry being in love with Iris thing. Barry, she's essentially your sister. You grew up with her, in the same house. This is creepy. Go for Caitlin, she's super cute and her parents were never your legal guardians.

I'll never understand this kind of thinking. They're not biologically related, she's not his sister and thus it isn't creepy.
This reminds me of the whole Dexter/Debra 'controversy' which was equally nuts.

uh, the Dexter Debra thing was disgusting. They were brought up together from a young age as siblings

But they're not siblings. It's closer to dating your next door neighbour.

Wuuuut, the difference between that and the flash is that dexter tbought she was his sister for years

Barry knew iris prior to living with her and had a crush on her, these situations are nothing alike. And the dexter one is gross tbh

That's cool but his previous believes are irrelevant because they don't change the facts.
She's not his sister.

Still really hope Eddie's going to turn into a second Reverse-Flash at some point. Maybe that's why Wells didn't kill him?

Barry friend-zoned Caitlin already, who's still hot for Ronnie. Plus Caitlin's doomed to become a villain anyway.

And that is only for the rest of the season? it looks of course amazing, going to be action packed, emotional, fast paced.

Best superhero show confirmed? confirmed. Def my favorite on tv right now hands down.

SO I WASN'T GOING CRAZY!!!! WE GETTING VIBE UP IN THIS BITCH!!!!!!

Screen cap for reference.

Any ideas?

Lots of people are guessing Sportsmaster, Plunderer, or Multiplex. Here are set photos if anyone is more familiar and has an idea.

I don't know why, but it made me immediately think of
Peace Maker
.

Two things about Eddie:
I'm thinking two things. Either he or one of his descendants from the future is the "man in yellow" (Zoom) that kills Barry's mother. He just happens to be in possession of the same suit as Dr. Wells - perhaps from a different point in time. Or, when we see him shooting other police officers, he was being mind controlled by Grodd.

That trailer was so freaking awesome. This show is really the most comic book anything on TV or film IMO. I'd argue that it's even more so than The Avengers and Marvel's movies. Could you ever see those movies tackling anything as outlandish as Grodd? I mean we had Flash outrunning a nuke, Firestorm, anti-metahuman tech, Reverse Flash, time travel hints, and Grodd all in the same episode; you can't get much more "live action comic book" than that.

Given that Marvel had the balls to do Rocket & Groot when they could have been replaced by Adam Warlock or Mantis, I wouldn't put Grodd past them (if Grodd was a Marvel character).

But yeah, I'm glad this show is going balls-deep into the lore of the Flash comics.

Oh man.

At some point, we gonna get some Broken Arrow up in this bitch.

It would be great fun to tie it to Outsiders. What if Broken Arrow is connected to them in alternate reality. Then Barry fixes everything, but because of mystic nature of Outsiders and their artifacts, they actually will remember the erased timeline.

Season 2 is gonna be insane.

Or it's going to completely crash and burn. It's my fear. Genre shows like this tend to have rocky first seasons. Rough starts that end well. The second season is almost always better, typically in every way. Like they took the first season, fixed it, and made it better. Supernatural, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Dollhouse, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Smallville (it's been awhile, but I recall S2 being just better than the first), Arrow, etc. But this has been such a quality first season, that I'm scared that S2 will just explode into a massive fiery death ball.

Now I'm scared.

The first season is great fun. There is no reason that it can't get better. There is a ton of stuff I'm sure they can improve on.

Only thing i fear is that the production team will spread itself too thin, with the upcoming Supergirl and Arrow/Flash spin off. I hope im wrong though.

Just started watching the series, watched 3 episodes so far. Does it ever get less cheesy or stop being monster of the week? Not feeling it so far :/

An overall story arc will start to be apparent pretty soon.

It's still very cheesy, but it's a good cheesy IMO. It embraces its comic book nature wholeheartedly, and I think that's part of the reason the show has been so successful out of the gate.

The routine formula eventually goes away as an arc takes shape. I think the Barry confronts villain, is defeated, licks his wounds and learns news things, overcomes villain with hope and heroics is done with by about episode 6. At least there is still some character development and world building occurring around it.

would be amazing on multiple levels.
