Been wanting Crysis ever since I built my PC in February of last year but kept missing it. I might also get Deus Ex.

Knows the Score
Blood Dragon is worth it for the soundtrack.

What is Hacker Evolution? Is it like Scorpion / CSI Cyber in sheer awful descriptions of hacking?

If you don't already have Binary Domain then,

1) What the fuck is wrong with you?
2) Buy Binary Domain.

This. I came here to say this. PC version's great and runs well on low specs even.

I would buy it but it has Securom so my only experience with it will stay the console version with neutered suit modes.

I Must Scream and System Shock 2 are mine. Didn't know they had Linux versions so that pushed me over the edge.

It had it's limit upped to 50 installs, and that can be reset back up to 50.

If you're even remotely interested in it you should pick up E.Y.E. at that price. I'd hesitate to call it a great game, but it's worth playing.

Wouldn't bioshock fall under this category?

Anyways I see crysis but I will get it later.

Already hurt mah wallet from ubisoft sale.

Why is Dreamfall: The Longest Journey so expensive? :| It's almost 10 years old. The original isn't on sale at all.

How's the PC version of Binary Domain? I already have it on PS3 via PS+ but I'm tempted to get this.

Brilliant. Works best with a controller though, has some issues with the mouse.

No, Bioshock is definitely not cyberpunk. Most of these games aren't. I think they just wanted to sue a broad term. Sci fi would've done the job just as well.

Does the steam version of System Shock 2 even run properly on modern PCs? The price is good but I'd rather wait until it's on sale on GOG. At least I know that version will run well.

That said, I just bought the Crysis package and Mirrors Edge. Thank you Steam overlords.

Yes, since the new IP holder basically did all the work for the Steam AND GoG release. GoG's team had NOTHING to do with the re-release IIRC.

It's the same build that is on Steam.

I don't think I'd recommend EYE to anyone. The controls are just clunky and weird, and all the menus made me feel like I was playing this game from the ~ console.

Mirror's Edge is cyberpunk? Wha?

Counter-culture protagonist, working for an underground group who defies the authorities massive technological surveillance program and gets drawn into a political/corporate conspiracy. The city is clearly a dystopian one, just a perfectly designed, spotlessly clean dystopia.

Dreamfall Chapters is pretty ace by the way if you like narrative-heavy games. Book 2 just came out last week and it was like 8 hours worth of content. It'll probably be a 40-hour game by the time the last book comes out at this rate. I wouldn't exactly call it cyberpunk though considering half of it takes place in like a fantasy setting.

Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Human Revolution are two of my favorite cyberpunk games ever.

Man, I'd kill for a legit remake of the original DX. Keep everything the same, just upgrade the graphics engine to something modern. That'd be amazing. Some of the games on that list I wouldn't call Cyberpunk, but hey, a good sale is a good sale!

I played and enjoyed The Longest Journey, bought Dreamfall Chapters recently, but haven't got around to playing it yet. Should I play Dreamfall: The Longest Journey first, or should I just look up the plot synopsis and jump right in to Chapters?

Was actually looking for a good deal on crysis the other day. Picked up the 11$ bundle. I need to slow down with the games. Price doesn't bother me too much, it's the constant buying and skipping around games that's gettin to me.

This is easy: Play Dreamfall first. Chapters references it often and the synopsis only covers the bare minimum.

Also: Aside from a few minor game design screwups, Dreamfall is great. I prefer it to The Longest Journey, myself.

Everyone buy and play System Shock 2 ASAP if you haven't already. And Binary Domain too.

Also, where the hell is Shadowrun?

Consortium never gets the attention it deserves :(

Seconded. Not a long game, but you'll replay several times to figure it all out and explore different outcomes- I've never played anything that rewarded player choice as richly as this does, though obviously, that comes with the price of reduced length. Amazing soundtrack from Soule too. Really hope the sequel lives up.
