answering some more questions
1) Not an amphibian boss. In reality this type of creature hates getting wet. Not fought in the woods but later on. Yes I have finished the cemetary area (It's the Hemwick lane) and the boss.
2) yes i have encountered an area with a poisonous pool just like blightown's bottom and the valley of defilement where you get continuously poisoned. There are small snakes that come in many numbers that jump out of the poison pools and also poison you even more. And there are some giant beast here.
3) Yes I have encountered that thing slit08 is mentioning. It was a monster that was in a trailer. I really don't want to spoil this enemy (multiple enemies combined together). One of the more cooler looking ones.
4) there are 4 headstones in the hunter's refuge pertaining to the main game. 1 is for yharnam, and the other is for the outskirts. the other 2 are inaccessible at the moment. Based on each headstone, I think there are 11-12 headlamps in each headstone of awakening. But in yharnam I have found 8 and the outskirst I have found 6.
5) Let me clarify something about blood bullets. You can only use them when all your normal bullets are exhausted. So for instance if you have the repeating pistol which uses two bullets, and you had 1 normal bullet. yu can press up to get 5 blood bullet. Thus when used the gun it will consume 1 normal and 1 blood, leaving 4 blood bullets. You can't have more than 5 blood bullets.
6) And lastly I only have blood vials (from start of the game) and Iosefka's blood vial which gives back a lot more health. Haven't used them because I feel like blood vials are fast to use anyways. And I haven't found a way to switch between Iosefka's and normal blood vials for triangle.
7) Lastly some people messaged me saying that my vitality is low. This is true, and it was a conscious decision. When i started playing Dark souls I was terrible, and so I would pump vitality and just defend. Which made me a really bad player because I relied too much on tanking hits. After beating the game the first time, i watched a playthrough done by Seraphim17 on youtube. He's one of my favourite youtubers who does hardcore walkthroughs of really difficult games on their hardest setting with many self imposed restrictions. One of the things said during his commentated walkthrough still resonates with me till now with every game I play. he mentioned that If you just keep relying on out tanking all the damage, you will never improve. You should be focusing on trying to learn the mechanics of the game, the bosses themselves, and trying to get better each time you play, and use your death to become a more knowledgeable and better player.
I will say that for the entire game, i never felt that health was an issue because every enemy I faced can be either parried or dodged/dashed away from until now, because of one shot attacks from this boss and its minions. Also i also wanted to see what each weapon does, so I had to pump my arcane, skill, and strength to be able to use weapons and give info on them for you guys. I was using almost base endurance as well.
So I will be pumping them up to around 25 vitality and 20 endurance to see if it can help
EDIT: MOAR INFO!
1) Sorry. As I said, haven't been able to progress because of this boss. haven't found the scythe yet. Trust me it's the only weapon that's been on my mind since From Software showed us the trailer where the main hunter transforms the blade into the scythe.
2) I mean Cleric Beast seems optional but it's the only way to get the kirkhammer, as far as I know soooooo yea. If you want all the weapons, you'll need to fight and scour the entire world, every inch of it.
3) also the only way to get the first chalice in the game is to beat the blood starved beast. As you can see, all the bosses serve a purpose. Nothing is there to just be there. I also like the variety and differences in each boss. Makes them very unique. I used a very cheap trick to beat the blood starved beast. I basically baited its AI into circling the back wall with the statue, and whenever I got a chance I would use my charged two handed fire imbued R2 on the hunter axe to deal monstrous damage, as this would flinch her as well. Sometimes when you do enough damage and stun her, the poison covering her body would go away for some time until she roars to get it back.
