I find this game kind of weird. And I'm whether I like it or not. At this point, I've spent 3 hours playing multiplayer, Conquest. Tomorrow, I'll try the other modes. Maybe they're more fun. Conquest feels like an after thought and for me Conquest is BF.
So far, I really dislike the boost and load out system. It seems very confusing. What to buy, when, when things get unlocked.
The game faster then BF4, that's something I don't like. And I don't like the lack of vehicles. Cars and armored transport vehicles just don't do it for me. I thought I was going to like COD: AW, but I got bored and went back to BF4. When I look at a map like Golmud there's just so much variety for any play style or with any vehicle. Whereas so far my impression of Hardline was that it's just an infantry DM shooter and it will get repetitive for me.
The whole concept seems a little jarring too. Say what you will about trigger happy cops, but I don't think you'd get a cop to rolling you over and slicing your throat with a knife. It was kind of a WTF moment when it happened to me. It seems ok in a war setting, but not when there are the worlds "POLICE" written on the guys uniform.
Edit: They definitely didn't do anything to the engine. I just got a sound bug (where the sound goes muffled for the rest of the round) just like in BF4 (PS4). It's been there for months in BF4 and it happened here too.
