Haha that could very well be encompassed in "bug fixes". From what I see the patch notes shown on the PS4 rarely address individual issues, most of them are just one line saying something to the effect of "Various fixes".

Well, the design of the game is a mix between DkS 1 and Demon Souls, as warping between lanterns would defeat that purpose. In fact, I'm not even sure if you can warp from the hub to any given lantern, you'd have to ask for clarification from others.

And not every loading screen is long. Yes, we've had 40 second loading screens. But we've also had 10 to 20 second loading screens.

The inconsistency gives me hope that they can improve them

If every screen was that long it would be more concerning.
 
Better loading screens? If that's the only thing that needs improvement in this game, we have the GOTY right here folks.

The loading screens are really bad tho.

Some people are complaining about load times as well. They don't look too terrible from what I've seen from streams. Comparable to Demon's/Dark Souls.

They are only bad compared to pc. Also for people wanting to level up without going to the hub.

Atleast in the ign video it did show the lanterns activated in the hub for warping. Im fairly sure it works like ds2.

Also, the problem is not that loadings are short or long but how innecesary is to warp back to the hub to level instead of being ablw to do it at the lantern like ds1. Bb system makes sense for a stage based game like deS but not for an interconnected map like ds.

Just a nitpick though. Still hyped as fuck.

The issue is that previous Souls games weren't optimized for HDD loading on console. While I'm not expecting Bloodborne to load as quick as previous games on PC, I think it should still beat the console versions.

If you need to visit some specific npc to level up, it would make sense.

But forcing you to level up via an npc doesnt add nothing to the game other than having to listen to "seek...seek...lest" everytime you want to level up. Again, ds1 did it the best.
 
As I said in an earlier post it would not surprise me if the loading screens were currently long due to some online connectivity timeouts. Could be wrong I guess but one can hope!
 
Shiiiiit, it's on the shelves at Walmart in Baton Rouge but the guy wouldn't sell it to the person that went.

Warping is from the start but not from lanterns to other lanterns. Only from hub world to lantern and vice-versa.

Hub world to any lantern? If that is the case might as well make it lantern to lantern. Otherwise you will be wasting time warping to hub just to pick the lantern you want to warp to.
