I know, just seems that dex or some magic stat always gets some cool weapon. I love the look of the greatsword but I always play the souls games with a greatsword. Scythe just looks so boss.

Could be pretty fast depending on how good you are. Most people are apparently not good. I've watched people spend up to 7 hours in the Alpha area without beating the first boss.

Yeah, the stream has been backstep + R1 spam for the past hour. Until I started watching some of these streams, I never realized how common it is for people to have played and completed Souls games using really simple, repetitive tactics.

Oh Im not saying he is nt a cool streamer, I like his stream overall...just hurts not to be able to be in the game!!!
I think he is struggling on this one cause he thinks hes close to doing it with his own methods. He was close a couple times, but that power mode at the end needs to be dodged ANY way but backwards.

edit: YES he finally rolled in behind once and then went aggro on him and beat him!

I really got to see the moveset first. Same with the greatsword. How much I like the moveset is what determines what weapon I use.

Inversely, the guy who was in this thread streaming hours ago that had never played a souls game before killed the boss in two tries iirc, and was parrying like a champ.

No. Look -- the game isn't even released yet. We're day -4 right now. The fact that people are playing the game right now is frustrating to the devs because they have a certain standard in mind for the players to experience, and people are out there playing a product that isn't in it's 100% complete state.

I know. I am not trying to say the game has technical issues. I was just wondering whether these streamers can download the patch or are playing without it. I should add that aside from the slow loading, the frame rate seems really stable to me, atleast from what I have seen so far.

I will be getting my copy tomorrow as well, hopefully.

I saw yesterday on one stream that the ~3gb patch can be downloaded and installed already. So I guess some of the streamers have it active already
