I always felt like the God of War-games got worse but prettier for each entry. The first game is really good but not much to look at by today's standards. The second is slightly worse with better graphics. The third is awesome graphics and uninspired gameplay. It took me over a year with on and off gaming to get through the third. It never gripped me. While I'm looking forward to the game being released I can't say that I'm rushing out to get it on launch.

The funny thing is that they won't even have to do a lot to make it look really impressive. Was a stunning game last gen, and if the can get it running at 1080p and a rock solid 60fps then it will still look excellent today.

I probably won't buy this - a bit burned out on the series overall - but I'm interested to see how it'll perform and what improvements they'll have made.

It's just not a good look. They just announced UC4 is being pushed back to next year, but now GOW3 is coming out in July? It's like, the new stuff is delayed but they've got time to bring back stuff that's already out. That's frustrating to some. Would be to me, but I'm all raged out now.

What a strange way to look at it. What does UC4's delay have to do with this? I mean, that game has been delayed because it isn't going to be ready this year. It has absolutely no bearing on this remaster, which would be releasing regardless of if UC4 launched this year or next.

Bloodborne is new, and hasn't been delayed, why no mention of that? So much irrational whining.

really don't see the point of remastering this game as it already looked amazing on PS3 with a smooth frame rate. it also didn't have any DLC that could be packaged in to sweeten the deal.

What did redux retail at? 30? It's certainly the exception to the rule.

Plus i don't think i'm overstepping my bounds by suggesting that GOW has a bigger fanbase than Metro and can (successfully) get away with remastering only one game in the series and charging $40 for it only to probably do the same thing with the next iteration whenever they feel compelled.

Sleepy Dogs remaster was full price. So was Tomb Raider. There's been plenty of single remastered games that are $40 or more.

Halo MCC offered exceptional value but that is not the norm.

YOU don't think it's good buddy. The overall consensus is positive for this game, so it stands as a great business move for Sony. On top of that, there are millions like me who haven't played it and can jump on this remaster. Try separating your opinions of games from clouding your reasoning, it's baffling.

Last generation was full of God of War remasters too. Although at least they packed two games together then. Not throwing Ascension in is a strange decision and missing out the first two games is cheap compared to what MS offered with TMCC.

It's the worst of the numbered games. there's no defending the back half of that game. It's like they ran out of money and time but still needed to fill 3 hours of time garbage.

I haven't played ascension, and i enjoyed the PSP games for what they were, but for a numbered GOW game it was uneven at best.

Also, if they're charging more than $20 for this then hahahahaha. and that's coming from someone who owns all of the games and is a fan of the series.

also someone who apparently thinks the game is mediocre, so it makes sense. It's probably the most popular game of the bunch so you are kind of an anomaly.
