Doesn't the ending mean he can save Cisco and prevent iris from knowing his identity since he has to repeat the events of the last episode?
Except that he doesn't know Cisco died in the previous timeline.

Ripple effect. Things will happen differently now so it's very likely that Well and Cisco will never have that confrontation

Izunadono is right. Flashpoint: paradox is like a six out of 10 at best. Most of the Batman movies and this show are much, much better than it.

To me Flashpoint is one of the best recent superhero movies around, I'd rather watch that than almost any modem live action superhero movie.

The distinct events that led to Cisco uncovering Wells's shenanigans wouldn't be repeated in this second timeline. Barry's going to amaze everybody with his time travel revelation and alter the variables so that they'll never head down that course of inquiry which led to Cisco's death.

I'll stand by my opinion that Flashpoint is not that good. I was being generous with 6/10.
Flash's mommy is someone we're supposed to care about because she gave Flash some advice that doesn't make any sense. Flash is still sad that mommy died fifteen years later because he can't grow up. Somehow Flash's mom is magically saved, which seems to be caused by Reverse Flash but is actually caused by Flash despite Flash not remembering doing it or ever being shown to attempt it in the first place. Somehow magically this results in Bruce Wayne dying and Aquaman and Wonder Woman having an affair, and at no point is that reasonably explained. Two purportedly heroic people decide to destroy most of the world because of a simple misunderstanding. Flash can't tap into the full speed force because apparently there's only enough for one person to time travel at a time and somehow Reverse Flash is tapping into this merely by being alive. Wow.
Some of the action scenes are cool. Very little of the plot makes sense. A lot of the art direction is ugly. It's just an opinion but I think mediocre is an adequate descriptor.

Mask of the Phnatasm was cool for its time. Especially since most of us were like 12.
You should watch Return of the Joker though that one is really cool. Especially the unrated version.

Watched Flashpoint last night due to the recommendations here and the wife and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
I think I probably like Thomas Wayne more than Bruce. Seeing Grifter was pretty cool too.

Well, they explain that the changes aren't caused by the butterfly effect, like other time travel movies, but by a time boom. The time equivalent of a sonic boom.
I agree that the reveal at the end is pretty cheap. The setup/payoff structure doesn't work if you get to the end and get the payoff, but never saw the actual setup.
And there's no way that Batman with a pistol could kill someone who can travel at the speed of light. (This was even worse in the comic, where Batman stabbed him with a giant sword)
But at the end of the day, Flashpoint is still one of the best DC animated films, because most of the animated films just aren't very good.

I honestly think people are most enamored with Thomas Wayne's take on Batman. The actual plot and resolution aren't spectacular, nor are the art style and voice work.
The voice work is pretty bad in most of the new DC animated movies, actually. I think it's too much them foregoing talented voice actors to get bigger stars in there. Death of Superman, in particular, is almost unwatchable due to its awful casting.

And it definitely felt like that. A movie for 12 year olds. That's not bad, of course. But considering it's still being praised and hailed as some amazing movie, I can't help but feel like Flashpoint is going to end up just as bad.
But Hamill was good.

I didn't find the time boom a satisfying explanation to begin with, but it's made worse by the fact that Flash has to time travel again to resolve things. That should accentuate the differences or bring about new ones, not put everything back in its place. And would the same time boom happen every time? Like what if Flash tried again, and this time the differences were all positive? I hate when movies/shows say that just because something didn't work out for you once means it would never work out for you.
Now I'll be honest that my only experience with DC animation is Batman TAS and four or five of the most high-ranked Batman videos, so maybe I'm really jaded when it comes to the typical quality. I only watched Flashpoint on recommendation of this thread.
I'd understand that. If the movie's whole point of existence is to figure out some ass-backwards way to get a different Batman, then that's fine.

That's was happened, didn't you notice the slight changes during the final scenes? (Flash and Batman's suits changed for example), this is where the New 52 kicks off.

DC rebooted their entire comic line-up at the end of Flashpoint. So when Flash returns to his timeline things are very different. Better than Aquaman and Wonderwoman destroying the world, though.

I haven't contri to this thread, despite watching this show since the beginning, but I figured I'd join in finally because the past episode was fantastic!
I've been a huge fan if The Flash since I was little kid in the 80's, and this show has just been so spot on. Me and my wife are watching it on Hulu, so I'm a day behind everyone.
This show is awesome, and hands down my favorite superhero show on TV right now. I'm not digging this season of Arrow, because I find Oliver an insufferable asshole, but Flash has been hitting all of the right notes for me. Except for Iris being boring as fuck. They need to do something with her character, stat. I also hope certain events from the last episode will remain untouched. Me and my wife were going nuts at the last 10 minutes of the episode.

Flash point was pretty meh, well the cartoon at least, haven't read the comics.
This was an amazing episode, I'm guessing Cisco will be saved simply for barry having better things to talk about to him than some reporter being suspicious of wells.
