BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

WHAT? THERE ARE
KATANAS
IN THE GAME?

Walmart can absolutely not sell it to you early afaik, because the system won't allow it.

Damn. Any success stories at any other big name stores/chains? I don't think there's any mom and pop places around me

EDIT: I actually think I did just find a mom and pop. Any tips on what to say?

So I'm thinking Troubled Childhood or professional to start to be fast weapons and agile. Does that sound good gaf? Played ds2 loved dual wielding wasn't the best player but I did ok.

wait he unlocked the fucking
katana?

how.

Don't think its unlocked yet, but you need to go through the area and do something after the boss to unlock it.

I knew word would get out about the weapon. Since its known to exist might as well as give the name I guess. It's
Chikage

Also I believe the highest stat for it is Bloodtinge at a C at default (S when fully upgraded). Hence why I was going for a bloodtinge build.

Called it a couple days ago.

Hey guys

I received a PM asking about the new patch- in case no one has updated with the info it was simply allowing online play, stability and performance improvements. The game didn't feel that different to me and load times felt the same. The game runs remarkably well pre patch.

now, as a first time souls player- should I be upgrading my character? I am doing what I can by fully upgrading any weapons I use and then when I have enough echos I upgrade my character. Should I be doing this? or waiting

I was thinking Professional . .though I don't understand stats. I want to use the cane until I get the
Katana
and then the Scythe.

ALSO what should I be upgrading? vitality and endurance at the same rate? (same number?) and leave my strength stat as it is until I find a weapon that requires me to raise it?

it says something like "with the pre-release, it gradually became black".

it could mean many things.

Im taking the tweet to mean...for celebrating Bloodbornes release...the WT in Demon's Souls is going to become black...and also, apparently, they are pre-teasing a sale on Demon's Souls too.

apparently it costs 50k and you can do
a special attack with L1 that uses your health. now I just need to know how to join that covenant.

maybe if he fucking buys it we can see the stats and scaling.

Did he join the covenant? He just got the item, how does he go through the process? I want him to get this damn
katana

No he did not join. He only picked up the registry that's all. Needs to defeat the boss of the area, and do something else. We'll see if he can figure it out :P

I think the cane is more of a heavy weapon with a strength grade is what I think I read. I want to for for endurance and skill I think.

I'm trying to walk the fine line about learning more of the game without spoiling too much. I don't think I've been this hyped for a game in a LONG time. I pretty much just sat around today plowing through my backlog because I have a giant urge to play I game I cannot. Been sorta productive.

no, cane has scaling E C -- D as default, you basically need a Skill build for it.

maybe he passed out.

rip

I'm assuming the letters represent a stat and the dashes mean that the stat is not being utilized, but what do the letters mean, Is it A-E with A being the most important?

someone sent me the mobius link and told me to check out the outfit.

after some hesitation, I clicked it, only to peak for a moment (I'm still trying to avoid things and, while I haven't been perfect, I'm doing way WAY better than I did with Dark Souls 1, where I watched hours on end of streams before it came out and spoiled lots of the first half of the game).

Three things I noticed instantly:

1) holy shit at that badass outfit
2) holy shit it's snow
3) holy shit the chat is *vile*

The chat shit just happened too, while he's been afk. It's been pretty good before then.
