Why have I never seen a single streamer backstab the fat dude with an axe at the start of the game? Can you not backstab him? In fact, don't think I've ever seen back-stabbing in this game. Is it completely removed, replaced with the "counter"-attack?
You can still backstab but it's just alot harder.
You have to first hit them with a charge-up attack and then approach them from behind and hit attack.

Got it. How exactly do I charge-up? And do I have to do it with a specific weapon-transformation?
Great quality but he's so, so bad. Uhm I think you just hold down the strong attack button (R2?) and it starts to charge-up. Don't think it matters in what form your weapon is.

The German dub doesn't sound bad actually. Has a cartoony stile to it, like a gritty Disney movie. I like it.
The shimmering seems to be mostly present on fences and bars. Earlier videos from IGN had worse aliasing. Even the ground had shimmering in the early versions.
Still, I can't wait for Digital Foundry to take a deeper look at the game.

I was watching mobius' stream and he had plenty of upgrade materials, except for chunks. Chunks were very scarce. This is around the 20 hours mark.
