BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

:DDD

Why can't I get back my blood Blood Echoes after dying? :((((

Alright I started up a stream on hitbox. I'm not too far into the game, but further than the other streamers on right now. However, I'm not sure how long I'll be streaming because in order to do this I have to play on my 24" monitor, instead of my 65" plasma. lol

Edit: nevermind, I can't play like this. I forgot how to get rid of the interlacing with my capture card. Looks like shit :(

Exactly. You're great for even doing this! Really enjoying your stream, ignore the haters!

Can anyone tell me if its possible to mess the character build in bloodborne?

I am new to myazaki games and so have no idea how to handle the character classes and skill points

Any tips?

As a rule of thumb, only level your weapon stats to the stats required to hold said weapon until you get a feel of things. Vit and end especially, are the most important stats. Weapons have stat scaling that get higher attack depending on the scaling rating of the weapon in a certain stat. Leveling up of a weapon (+1 to +10) may increase each weapons rating, S/A/B/C/D/E (from best to worst). Another thing to note is a weapon with A scaling may not have the same damage increase from scaling as as another weapon with A scaling. Also some weapons may have poor scaling but high base attack, so the scaling does not matter much.

Pimp cane all day
Reading the classes' descriptions and having one already in mind, I may actually go with the cane.

Edit: on second thoughts, sticking to the saw.

Nami, you are abandoning your post in the Destiny OPs? How the hell can we catch up with the Halo OPs without you??? :(
I'm done over there. I'll probably just post a few more times. Wanted to finish the raid but everyone are busy with IB.

It's bad to do a jack of all trades character by leveling all stats equally.

Weapons have one or more stats that they scale with and they scale from E (worst), through D, C, B, A and S (best).

So if for example you have a weapon with Strength scaling, focus on Str (and Vitality and Endurance is important no matter what weapon you have.)

Another thing that has been true for pretty much all of the Souls games too is that upgrading your weapon has more of an impact than leveling up if you have to choose between the two, especially early on.

In the Souls games at least, VIT is a more important stat for PvP than PvE. For PvE I'd say that END is probably 4x - 5x more valuable until you reach the soft cap. It's good to raise your VIT by 5 - 15 points if you're getting creamed in just a few hits, but as you get a better handle on the game, its importance rapidly diminishes.

You can. Find the enemy with the glowing eyes. He/she has them. Sometimes they do drop and stay on the ground though.

JEALOUS

Kill the enemy that killed you.

It will be sent to a nearby enemy, you will know who if you see a glowing aura around them

Crap.. The enemies that usually kills me are waaay too powerful for me to kill this early in the game. My curiosity always gets the best of me. :P

Pretty much every stream I see using Sawblade have it MUCH MUCH easier than anyone using the cane. It's such a big difference in damage and the sawblade is fast as well.

Got my copy today...lucky as hell tbh the had some copies behind the counter that I was lucky enough to spot..thank god of store temp workers when their supervisor isn't around :)

For those of you who have managed to get it, are any of you in the US? I apologize if I'm not allowed to ask this, just curious if I should try to stop by a few places after work.

Still saying dimming the entire screen when you retrieve is a dumb design decision. But at least they got rid of "Press A to confirm" :lol

Cheesing 4 lyfe. When oppurtunity arises, you get to be cheap. :lol
Also Mendrox don't let the chat get to you. You're doing fine.

Ha Ha. Yeah all is fair. Is it just me or does the cane/whip combo not seem like a good weapon to start out with? Seeing the stream and Mendrox using it against the cleric beast it seemed weak as hell. The cleric beast was barely affected by it.

Yeah going with less than 10 vials to the Cleric Beast fight is not wise. Farm around 20 vials and then use the same aggression you showed in this fight Mendrox. You almost got it!

Yeah the whip seems like a good AOE weapon on groups of weaker mobs, but it doesn't have the power for tougher enemies, let alone bosses.

Keep it up Mendrox, you'll get him!

He's STR, and picked a SKL weapon. Unfortunately he cannot swap weapons until he kills the boss.

Eitherway, Cane is still a very good weapon, compared to the other starter weapons, just need the build for it, and take use of the combos.

How early can you do co-op or pvp? I know online functionality isn't really up right now but the items necessary for it should be available. Going to help out friends but keep it solo on my game.

Can't decide if I want to go Professional or Noble Scion. Professional has a better spread for what I want but I'm going to end up putting a decent amount of points into Bloodtinge soon anyway. I can't wait to play.

I have tried the sawblade, gonna try the cane now. Honestly, it is difficult enough with the sawblade. :p

Im in the Netherlands unfortunately...even my son, who was with me, said I was a lucky bastard :)

But I think I did see some stuff from folks in the US

I don't remember exactly when you can buy the bell, but it is very early.

is this going to be the OT? or am I missing the OT?

wanted to ask about the starting stats, in comparison do Demons/Dark (I dont know what those new stats mean or do) but im afraid to go too deep in the thread and read a unwanted spoiler
