Yeah, watched some dude playing a bit last night and everytime he died, I would count off until he loaded back in, usually 35-45 seconds. Load times are pretty brutal. I've seen worse, but given how quickly the PS4 is at loading most games that have come out this gen, it's definitely an oddity.
Funny thing about that is it is SO HARD when you first get there but after figuring it out, I never die to it. Roll through the arrow at the top, tank with a shield or parry the dude off the ledge. Or just snipe him.
It goes from "how did this get past testing?!?" to "oh, that's how!"

Typical FromSoftware design. I love it.
I never had trouble with the Anor Londo archers, just roll and you're fine.
The wheel skeletons were a lot more scary on my first playthrough.
Even now I get hit by them every now and then, but the archers are fine.
Maybe they nerfed them in the Prepare to Die Edition? Never played the original release on consoles.

You guys think the CE will run out at some point? I have a digital copy pre-ordered on PSN, and have a CE pre-ordered as well on Amazon since I want the steelcase, but I'm thinking about cancelling it until later. With Dark Souls 2, I ended up getting the CE w/ the statue on Amazon at some point for $29.99 and it's still on Amazon for cheaper than the launch price. Wondering is they're just going to pump out as many as they can and just keep selling them, or if these will be a truly limited run type of situation.
Tomorrow's the final hump. At least on Monday I'll have work and lots of reviews to read and then I'll be playing at 12. Two more sleeps.
I have the digital preordered because if I don't play this at midnight on monday I'll explode, and, like you, I also have the CE preordered because I have to have it.
Just get it. A true souls game only comes around every 3 or 4 years. Just get it the thing. Live your life.
I don't even care about reviews. I prefer not to read them. Even if they lack specific spoilers, I don't want any expectations colored (although it'd be hard at this point, seeing as how my hype levels are in the stratosphere). I shouldnt even be in here, but at least I've managed to avoid watching stuff outside of the early area so I'm, at least, much more pure than I was when I finally got my hands on Dark Souls back in 2011. I really went stream crazy in the days leading up to that one. I snapped. I was already a super fan from Demon's.

i im still usuing the first purchasable hunter set. This seems wrong as I have found 2 other sets. One by the tree in old yharnham and one near the npc with the Gatling gun on a burnt body. Problem is they are not much of and improvement and offer no real gain. What am I doing wrong here?

I can get through the first 2/3 of the fight without getting touched, but keep getting slaughtered in the final phase. Even if I stock up on Antidotes, I get poisoned basically every time I hit him and end up dead before I can heal and cure poison.

So anyone who's watched the end game stuff, without being spoilery, how are some taking the ending bosses to be underwhelming or easy? Ive seen some mention the AI being broken and some people are saying the streamer was cheesing/overleveled.
