I have been doing release date delivery with Amazon for over 3 years and can't remember them ever being late. Went digital with this one though.

No, it's either 00:00 CET or 01:00 CET (if it unlocks midnight UK time like some other games have done).

You can check the unlock time in the library.

Any streams I've watched have been around 14-22 seconds from dying to respawning. Not too long for me, Destiny has trained me.

Because the alpha preview and the IGN footage coming from old builds pretty much set the expectations for the visuals, and seemingly it only got better from there in terms of framerate and antialiasing.

Ah really? I've been on a blackout for a while so haven't seen any of the more recent material, haven't heard anything about a downgrade until now either. I've actually only heard about shimmering problems being fixed.

I haven't seen past material, but from the handful of screenshots I've seen the game has a ton of chromatic aberration. It makes the image quality look bad IMO.

Saying they're positive is probably understating it a bit. All signs point to an absolutely fantastic Demon/Dark Souls follow-up.
