My primary playstyle in the Souls games was lightly armored, no shield, DEX (and in Dark Souls 2 I exclusively dual-wielded katanas).

Is there a list or outline on which weapons will focus on which stats based on the ones we know? Like is Cleaver a Strength based weapon where I'd want to focus on that? I'd presume the Hammer is like that.

Not sure why some of you are worried about the reviews being negative.

A lot of people know 100% for sure that this is what they like and want in a game. That makes them nervous it won't review well. If it doesn't review well they are less likely to get more games like it. It seems like a reasonable concern to me. You want the game to do well so there are more sequels or, better yet, new IP in the same vein.

Been playing since Saturday night. Game is effing awesome, I predict lots of 9s and 10s from reviewers, with most of the issues being small technical problems (long load times, some frame rate hitches). Servers aren't online yet so haven't tried coop, but me and a buddy have been hopping into party chats during our long play sessions and discussing strategies and routes. It's really neat to compare notes on that stuff - the levels are so big and interconnected in so many ways, that we frequently found ourselves reaching certain goals/areas but finding that we'd taken completely separates routes to get there.
