I've read through all of it. It's a fair guide, goes through the basics for sure. I'd go with it for that reason.

Exactly! In a Souls-game, you want to spend your points as efficiently as possible so your trip to game completion becomes as easy (or fun) as possible!

They praised the beautiful world design and enemies but criticized the RPG elements. They said you can end the game with the same gear you get an hour in.

Dex builds can start with with either professional or lone survivor. Advantage of professional is that it starts with higher dex, advantage of lone survivor is that it has more points in other stats and less points in the two a dex build wouldn't care about.

It was good, but it also said it's far from the best FROM has to offer and was the weakest of the "souls" games.

Didn't play the souls games enough to know this but if you die and leave a bloodstain behind and exit the game, does it essentially go away? Did I lose some souls (blood echoes)?

Thanks - so if that's right I guess playing Bloodborne without PS+ will be similar to playing Demons/Dark offline. I really enjoyed the Souls games but am hesitant to get this since I'm not getting PS+. Will probably take the wait and see approach.

Offline demons and dark is still a great experience unless u like PvP stuff then I'd still get the game.
