it sounds a lot like "the deprived" in dark souls.

starts out lower level than the other classes, but since you can allocate your own stats earlier, you waste less points and end up with better stat growth in the long run. But yeah, that's for hardcore players if so.

Arguably depends on your build. It has pretty even stat allocation across the board, where players will ideally want minimal stats in areas they don't plan on using.

In the first Dark Souls, the Deprived actually had the highest level (6) and only existed as a challenge class. The Pyromancer was the Dark Souls class with the lowest level (1). Dark Souls 2 had the Deprived at the lowest level.

Amazon has me so confused. I see tons of people in the same boat as me, CE stuck in limbo, but mine is STILL saying delivery tomorrow before 8 PM. It has not changed, when it seems everyone else's has.

BUT, it also has not been changed from Not Yet Shipped, NOR have I been charged. I've heard stories of people getting their packages, where the shipping info never changes until after its delivered, but I have no real idea if that's what'll happen for me.

Hmm very odd, I got a tracking number for my CE and its literally 1 hour away from me. Did Amazon sell more than they actually had in stock? I know the CE was sold out for a couple days...

It's amazing at how far Miyazaki and his team have come. From a stoic and unforgiving 'niche' game with Demon's Souls, to now having people spend $400 on a system just to play their newest entry.

Invest in HP and endurance, don't invest too much in strength or skill until you find a weapon moveset you're comfortable with (then invest in the stats that scale that weapon's damage best). Bloodtinge is for guns, so only increase it if you're sure you'll have plenty of bullets to use. Arcane is for items and magic, and is probably the worst skill to increase for a newbie.

Your choice of origin only determines your starting stats. For example, even if you choose an origin with low Arcane, you can invest points in arcane just as you can with other origins.
Exactly what I needed. Thanks!

Call customer service and ask about it. I was in your situation, then I called them and they said they straight up don't have the ce in stock, so there was no way I would've gotten it tomorrow. I cancelled the order and got it digital.

So I'm currently in bed.

How the fuck am I supposed to sleep, knowing that: 1. You're all playing the fucking game in a few hours, and 2. Reviews are out any minute now.

It'll be a slaughter fest and my brain knows it. It doesn't want to miss this but I'm going to force choke this fucking body to go to bed right this instant.

Going to bed 15 minutes before the reviews go up? Nope.jpg

So I'm buying a PS4 for this game, haven't been following it all for fear of spoilers (and no desire to, since I can patiently wait for the game) and I have a question: am I going to need PS+ to engage in the multi-player aspects of Bloodborne?

In 20 mins, the hype train will

A) Fly off into the sky, rocketing gloriously towards the radiant Sun!

B) Crash messily, leaving hundreds maimed and banned in it's wake.

C) The Old Gods deceived us, and the hype train was merely Thomas all along. A hype train indeed, but one that will slowly, oh so slowy come to an uneventful halt.

I predict A but B would be rather hilarious I'd imagine. Personally I'm not too invested because I've never played a souls game before but this game definitely has me interested, and all this hype is contagious.

As soon as the embargo lifts (15 minutes).

oh man oh man oh man

How are you guys feeling about raising bloodtinge? It feels so risky.. but I like risk. that's why I'm here to begin with.

nice :) me too!

do you want ranged/guns to do more damage? up bloodtinge. I'll leave it at minimum unless there's a weapon that I never considered that levels up with dex and bloodtinge outside of one I've seen, and it doesn't seem that interesting.

Yes but PS+ is well worth the $50 a year
