I scanned the last few pages, but I'm not seeing the source for the digital only thing. I hate to ask, but can some repost where this has been referenced? Or is there a source?

Okay, Devil May Cry fans—you’ve been waiting since December for solid info on Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. Here it is.
DMC4SE is currently in development for the PS4, Xbox One, and yes, the PC, and set for a release this summer. It will be a digital release, but you can expect a tremendous amount of content and replayability at a great value.
I do hope there's more content than what was shown though, like heavily retooling campaign, extra weapons for Nero and Dante, Boss Rush mode, Gods must Die, and a couple extra boss fights.. If not I'd say I was expecting more content then we got (unless they reveal DMC5 at E3 then I'll be ok). Makes me wonder if that 2 week mo-cap session with Dan Southworth was for the DMC5 trailer/teaser at E3...
Ultimately was hoping for a short Vergil campaign, with new bosses... Hell DmC got a Vergil campaign with new levels and bosses..
This one.
...They wouldn't.
Would they?
At least he is fun to play as.Oh god. Another round with the terrible character, Nero. I will say, I LOVED the boss battles, though.
DMC4 has the deeper combat system, but there's no reason not to get both DmCE and DMC4SE, considering the former is a top tier remaster, and DMC4SE looks to be the same.
DMC 4 i often hear is considered like the deepest combat system in all of action games, is that too hyperbolic or is that pretty legit?
DMC4 is definitely the most polished action game, but I'd still put Bayonetta and NGB above just for the sheer amount of content.that's great to hear, I'll probably get both as some of you guys said, I'm thinking of just getting DMC 4 proper now along with DmC and then get the special edition in June

Think it might be the JP special edition. Doubt they'd give that much extra for a first print runThe fuck is that?

Bayonetta does a lot of stuff better than DMC4 but when it comes to pure combat mechanics DMC4 is the king. The skill cap for the game is near limitless.well, i thought Bayonetta was the pinnacle of the genre

might just get regular package version.
It wasn't casual... he set up the combo for that finisher. The Lucifer pin up exploded right at the moment the last hit of Million Stab would whiff putting the enemy in the perfect position and health for a Backslide finisher.Love that casual Backslide at the end.

Oh man, I want this! I really wish they'd release it physically in the West. I'm tempted to import this if the game's in English like the original DMC4 was.
how does DmC: DE compare to Bayonetta?
both Ninja theory's dmc and Bayonetta exist as actions games where doing cool stuff requires minimal skill. Bayonetta turns this notion up with quick time events, monster summons, torture attacks. Witch time, and attacks with overly large hitboxes that have a god of war like effect.
DMC4 is pure skill. You'll be doing boring three hit combos all day if you don't bother to understand the game mechanics.
DmC was designed to be a fun action game. Dmc4 was designed to be a skill based action game where sometimes the fun diminishes if you don't come to terms with the combat system.
Hope it stays the same for DMC5. Gotta respect NT for not having any QTEs in DmC outside boss fights and platforming.both Ninja theory's dmc and Bayonetta exist as actions games where doing cool stuff requires minimal skill. True. Dante is a fucking beast to get used to.

This combo is genius from start to finish.
Still a very good action game with a low entry point to do cool combos and stuff. DmC just doesn't have the cool enemies, bosses and weapon variety of Bayonetta so it's a worse action game but the core combat is still very solid and has a high skill cap if you want to get into it.how does DmC: DE compare to Bayonetta?

You guys need to get on Capcom Unity and start telling Capcom to rectify this.
