This not getting a physical release is a little disappointing. I wonder if it'll come later down the line.
Its not getting a retail release!?
But DmC did

Yep. And Force Edge.
Yep, the air spin kick, Real Impact etc.
totally
unless it sells like poop and sold less than DmC DE for some reason![]()
Well they just lost a sale because its digital only and I'm going to assume a lot of folks will probably be doing the same thing.
The impression seems to be that it's physical in Japan and Digital only in the West.think it's physical, i saw it on sale on playasia

So what do people think about vergil's concentration technique. Any theory crafting on that? Will it use the exceed trigger or just be a general effect. If it's just an effect I hope they use the exceed button for something and not make it a weapon switch button like in dmc3se.

Dante still needs a rework for DMC5, IMO, since a great deal of his Style moves really can be and ought to be incorporated into his normal moveset.
They can either make it a one style future or expand the styles even more with more moves and uses to make each style more worthwhile.
If they are intent on giving each character their unique flavor then styles are definitely Dante's.
I think style switching is great, but if they can cram more functionality into Dante's moveset pre-Style button, they should. Examples include []+X moves, /\+O moves, but also R1+[forward or back] moves while you're in the air, incorporating Shotgun Stinger into the normal Shoot button, giving E&I Ricoshot instead of just a higher-damage attack for charging, and so on. Done right, they could take a lot of what already exists in Gunslinger, Swordmaster, and Trickster and incorporate it directly into Dante's normal skillset. Also, stuff like Doppelganger or Quicksilver could be incorporated directly into becoming equippable passive DT abilities (since they consume DT and are simply switched on and off).
Putting all of those things into Dante's normal controls wouldn't only streamline Dante's access to a bigger moveset without needing to touch the dpad, it'd also mean Itsuno could then be freed up to do even cooler shit with the Style button.

I like this.
Besides, I imagine there'll be more of a race to make sure Dante doesn't appear redundant, if he's slated to be the "Jack-Of-All-Trades" character that you paint a nice picture of.
After all, say we now stand to have various "Specialists", like Lady, that can do everything his Gunslinger style can do, but better? Would Dante even still need the style or would it be better to map its most important features to his shoot button and just make sure the "core" character is better?
I'll be curious to see how they handle that in the future, yeah.
I mean, Nero's clearly characterized as being all about barely-contained anger and nonstop aggression, Vergil's set up so that he's going to be all about calm efficiency, Dante's an incredibly masterful jack of all trades, now Lady's going to be Gunslinger on steroids and Trish will be... Swordmaster on steroids? We'll have to see (since that's sort of already what DMC3/DmC Vergil feels like).
I went woooooo multiple times throughout that trailer.
Or all of it
It's Nero though.I love how Vergil saying "I need more power!" Is essentially the tag-line for this game

It's Nero though.
Vergil's moveset in the trailer suggests he won't have Judgement cut.
And of course

Grim Trick is just going to be the Puls/teleport from DmC where he throws a sword and teleports to it or throws a sword and brings an enemy to him. It's his version of the grapple to allow him to move in Nero's areas.Sounds like Concentration is a general effect, it would make the most sense that way.
There's also that new Grim Trick mobility option for him, could be assigned to it's own button depending on how versatile it is I guess.
Dmc trailers do that to you.I won't lie, that trailer has gotten me more hyped than I have been in awhile.
Here's hoping muscle memory won't fail me when it comes to Nero's perfect Revs. Too good man.

This would be even better to have on all difficultiesI think I'm the only person in existence who didn't mind the dice puzzle. One big improvement though, would be to battle Credo again at some point. Best boss battle of the game IMO.
Death means nothing in DMC huh?
Oh well, I'm glad Vergil is back. I'm feeling pretty motivated.
