Same, the west is the bigger market, but it's like some times we're just an afterthought. No way we won't account for more sales than Japan, but we get shafted anyway.

Nothing is guaranteed. They might try to go the route of Nero which is to limit options to make the game more accessible. I honestly don't think that DMC4 Dante is happening again, it really is too much for most people.

A physical release is a form of marketing in itself these days. You don't bolster a portfolio by doing marketing (ie physical release) for products you don't believe in. Capcom does not believe in DMC in the west (much like AA). The only way they believe the brand has some equity is by seeing any kind of sales. Conversely, importing will likely add to JP sales and further convince them that the brand is strong there but not here. I have no right ultimately to tell you how to spend your money, but you're fooling yourself if you think you're helping DMC by forgoing the digital purchase.

What about the girl from DMC2 is she playable?
Lady/Trish cutscenes will probably be DMC4 timeline. Probably just more exposition or showing what Lady was doing in the mean time.
I will say again.. the actual game play is going to be the same as before. You will still fight the same enemies and bosses while traversing the same areas with these new characters. The main difference are the starting cutscenes and the ending cutscenes in terms of "story".
The starting cutscene of Vergil shows him going into Fortuna pre-DMC3. He is curious about the order. His ending HAS to tie him with Nero.
Woah you see Lady's HUD...what's the devil trigger meter for?
Perhaps they could mean a powered up phase? It could work similarly to DT, design wise. Or maybe, she has certain abilities that take up gauges on the meter.

I do think they should give her another chance, but DMC2 takes place AFTER 4, so chronologically she can't be in 4

I think Vergil's cutscenes will have to do with how the Order of the Sword got Yamato. If that's the case then this should be set after DMC1. I just want them to confirm that he's still alive. Idc if that have to create the DMC version of the Lazarus pit to do so.

It's already confirmed that Vergil's cutscene is pre-DMC3 (the starting one, don't know about the ending cutscene).
It's based on the DMC4 Novel. It's also probably going to set up Vergil as Nero's father (falls in loves or shags some girl, Nero pops out in Fortuna.. Vergil the dead beat dad leaves).

There you go. I hope she'll have use of the Spiral. I kinda liked that gun back in DMC3, and since they brought her back, I don't see the harm in her having it.
Her arsenal from DMC3 was the following:

Sub-Machine Guns
Kalina-Ann
Grenades
She needs more firepower than that.
Yep. This is after the defeat of Mundus and his brother in DMC3 and 1, so at this point he's the most powerful demon on the planet. Especially with how quickly, and effortlessly, he ties shit up during DMC4.

Yes. They kinda have to because it's an important game play mechanic. They might only have 1 or 2. Vergil already has taunts in DMC3SE.

Yeah that's the expectation. It's totally new territory for the series though... there has never been a playable character in DMC without Devil Trigger.
Even the symbols she has aren't of DT in DMC4. DT in DMC4 are thunder bolt signs (Dante, Nero, Trish all have them).. her's is completely different.
She also hasn't shown any melee weapons yet either which is another series first.

It's possible she'll just have some sort of DT but I hope they do something more imaginative and clearly differentiated with her magic meter.
I expect Vergil's DT to be very similar to Dante's of course, but Nero's DT is really well differentiated from Dante's and I hope Trish's is also pretty mechanically unique.
The better the differentiation between these playable characters, the better I feel about the future of the franchise.

....so it doesn't technically have to be pre-DMC3
it could be pre-DMC1 or post-DMC1 or really any time before DMC4

It looks like Straight but Straight never had that wide of a hit box to hit that many enemies at once.
