although I don't have much experience with DMC, from what i played of DMC 3 along time ago, i always thought Vergil despised his humanity, and shamed it while Dante embraced it

To analyze Trish's HUD a bit: it looks (from that half-circle) as though she has two modes she can be in, signified by the top and bottom halves of a circle in her HUD.Nevermind that move...look at THIS move!

Given what's been said about her bare hand combat, I wonder if they'll give her any RG equivalent. It looks like she has that meter in addition to the Disaster gauge.

He might not have - perhaps Nero was actually a product of the Les Enfants Diaboliques project. Dante dismantled the Order before he could be installed as the puppet President.
Maybe something like the limiter removal from Vanquish? It probably wouldn't be too out of place if it's portrayed as a function of her weaponry and not some inherent power.

Capcom probably avoids a playable Sparda because they want to keep him as a mysterious figure that making him playable would kind of tarnish that
You know, I'm really hoping that DMC5 (if it's made, obviously) has these characters available to play. I know I'm asking for a bit of a miracle here but it would be nice to see these character's personality and style in a game with more enemy variety, level design, and bosses.

He was in 1, and a costume in 3, UMvC3 and likely 4SE as well. If anything, it's Eva who's long overdue for any kind of playable appearance / costume, especially since this will be the third time we'll be able to play as Trish.
With the sunglasses, of course. Unless they finally decide to show her 'true' DT...

I would actually be fine if they just took these 5 characters the way they are (considering Vergil Lady and Trish play good) and put them on DMC5. That would leave space to focus on adding levels, story, and just content in general.
Maybe give them some new weapons or so at most.

In every encounter with Dante, Nero "loses" even when he wins.

We dont know but how is Trish stronger than him?
She is an artificially created demon made to lure Dante into a trap, while no doubt she is powerful and has special abilities, the only time we see her using them is to teleport, throw a motorcycle, support a boss, fight against Lady, then support Lady to fight a demon but lose, also as Gloria, but thats not enough as she only killed low level demons, we really dont know much.

Well Trish using Sparda could be a different story, now that i think about it, but without the sword, i dont think so, we cant be sure what she can do with it as Trish never really battles strong demons (except when she lost on the anime)

It's been ages since I've played DMC4 but I remember a scene where Trish and Dante decide on doing something separately where Dante complains then Trish says "wanna switch?!" But then he takes his words back, implying that whatever Trish was going to do is much more difficult than whatever Dante was going to do.
What were they going to do? I remember the dialog perfectly but I just can't remember wtf were they going to do.

She was to evacuate the citizens =P
Trish was sent to round up all the villagers and get them to safety while Dante took on the Savior.

Interesting. Never really saw OG Dante as having good crowd control(at least in comparison to the way it's built into the DmC variation), but it's been a while since I played it and I probably didn't know what I was doing anyway lol

Correct me if I'm wrong but publishers make more profit off of digital sales right? Especially since games digitally are typically priced the same as their retail counterpart as far as console games go.
I think this was a controlled budget decision Capcom made. They can retain more profit off of a digital sale since it gets rid of many middle men required to put out the game physically on store shelves.
They are doing physical in Japan because I remember reading somewhere that Japanese gamers stay away from digital sales like the plague. Whereas Western audiences are more receptive to digital, sometimes even preferring it to physical.

Who directed the previous DMC? I thought they were all developed by the same team?
Hopefully this leads back to a continuation of the original DMC universe...Im still hoping for a Sparda-Esque MGS3 type of prequel from the franchise.

Trish uses the Sparda sword about as well as Sanctus does. Neither of them are able to tap fully into its power. Characters with the blood of Sparda can.
Nero beat up on Sanctus with the Sparda sword single handedly. Dante and Vergil had to team up to beat Arkham with Sparda. Nero is definitely very strong and even Dante acknowledges him as such.

Obviously it's a business decision. Doesn't make it a great one.

Woooooooooow. You had me at Vergil but the chance to play as Gloria(skin) & DMC3 Lady is even more enticing. Definitely a game to support just for the sake of putting an end to westernisation. Dante works and DMC is beautiful, welcome back old friend.
Just hope Nero gets an extra melee weapon and fire-arm. Or at least more moves on his existing weapons and abilities.

Ugh, so much cringe in that trailer. It's been such a long time since I actually watched any cutscenes in DMC4 that I'd forgotten all the "KYRRRIIIIEEEE!" stuff, and throwing four separate snarky anime "Blah blah blah, huh?" lines in there practically back to back was a bad choice 
I guess I can suffer through it all again for the glorious return of my main man, though. I wonder what that Concentration mechanic is all about. IIRC, you got huge bonuses to the Style meter in DMC3 SE if you let his sword-sheathing animations play out in full rather than canceling out of them, so maybe it's an expanded version of that?
