, but I didn't. Of course I didn't like my starting class either, so all good. Made some good exploration progress, didn't find the next boss but did get 4k souls to buy some equipment with.
 
Whew. Beat the Cleric. Boss fights in this game are pretty awesome, with how bloody you both get. Need to fight some human sized enemies ala Artorias or Old Monk.
 
so if i'm understanding things correctly here, it's actually better in the long term to pick waste of skin as compared to milquetoast?

Anyway, second summoning for Gascoigne successful. I killed him two seconds after the host died and it counted, at least for me. :P

I'm getting summoned really fast in the Sewers. Not finding anyone to invade though. :(

Regarding my streaming schedule, I'll stream from midnight (when the game launches), till 8:00 (school starts). So the first session is only 8 hours. I'll be back around 4pm and then I'll stream for 16 hours.
 
Are upgrade stones found at about the same clip as Souls games? Wondering if I should use some of these blood stone shards or hang on to them.
 
Can someone explain the save, blood echoes etc. system in an easy way? Can I go back to the hub whenever I want to (how do I go back to the hub?). When can start leveling up?
 
The opening level really brings back the feeling of Undead Burg (in terms of the ass kicking, not so much esthetically)...like playing DS1 with brand new eyes again

Amazon usually ship thursday and it arrives Friday.
 
Absolutely loving the cane so far. My go-to combo is: From the whip state -> R1 - L1 - R1 - R2.

Got the first shortcut unlocked, and have about 3-4 paths I havn't taken yet. I'm having a blast so far, game is GREAT.
 
Took me a long time to realize this game supports really going for it in boss battles. The second one was a nightmare until I started countering with light attacks to regain health more than running away to use potions.
 
So do I need the other bell to play co-op with my friend? We both got to the first boss and have Beckoning Bells. Or do I need the 10 Insite?

The game saves constantly, just use the exit option when you are done playing.

Blood echoes are like XP points that you use to level up and buy things. You lose the ones on hand if you die. If you make it back to where you die and kill the enemy with glowing eyes, or pick up your bloodstain on the ground, you'll get the echoes back. If you die again you get a new stain so your original echoes are lost.

Go back to a lamp to return to the hub. Look for shortcuts. You can level up after fighting the first boss. You don't have to beat it. There will be a fairly obvious NPC.
 
What are these sound profiles I see mentioned? Are they only for Sony headsets?

So I downloaded the profile for the headset, evens out the sounds and it generally sounds fuller.

And I just beat the cleric beast with a cane.

If you download the headset companion app, I think it's out for the Gold headset atm.
 
Is a physical copy a better choice than download only for improving loading times?, regardless of what kind of hard drive you have in your PS4.
 
Can I buy the US PSN version and then play my normal account in EU without any negative effects, such as lag when playing with EU buddies etc?

Edit: Saw people write on Reddit that they had bought it and the unlock time was moved forward to the EU time, even though they bought it in the US.
 
Played for a good 3 hours, and loved every minute of it! It controls so well, and the animations and atmosphere are top notch.

Really liking the Kirkhammer. Can stun pretty much any enemy so far. Parry timing is not as hard as I thought it was gonna be. Makes some of the larger enemies a joke.

This game is real good.

Can anyone who has the stock PS4 HDD time their loads going TO the first few lanterns FROM the Hunter's Dream? I timed the first 6 and am curious if there's a difference between the stock HDD and SSDs for Bloodborne. My load times aren't quite as bad as people were saying.
