That feel when you are struggling to stay alive for a while and then you go exploring to finally find all of the shortcuts and make your first trip back to HD with 20k echoes to upgrade from level 10-19 plus upgrading weapons.

Also here is the character I made :D

I'm finding the camera to be pretty bad. Is it better with auto adjust turned off?

If you're talking about that thing that makes your camera shit itself as soon as it hits a wall, yes. I've turned all camera and lock-on stuff Off since DeS. Shit's just annoying and fucks up.
But the worst is auto adjust, it's terrible.turn off.

WHAT IS THAT

So, amazon has not yet shipped my CE. Should I be worried?

I feel stupid cancelling my original preorder but I wanted to add a few more items to the same shipment to save money.

What exactly did you buy? And 1000 was probably the cost, not how many you bought. I don't think the game will let you carry 1000 of anything.
I Bought the hunter yarhawn chest thing for 1000 blood its in my inventory yet I can'just discard it

Spelbutiken.

Regarding my streaming schedule, I'll stream from midnight (when the game launches), till 8:00 (school starts). So the first session is only 8 hours. I'll be back around 4pm and then I'll stream for 16 hours.

Don't forget to sleep Yoshi. Longer sessions that way. Efficiency is key!

I know this is strange but can someone check if you have a Japanese language setting? Games like SFIV and Metal Gear Rising did and sometimes I love to turn that on.

and just like that Miyazaki's nightmarish creature design has been surpassed....

If it's like previous "Souls" titles, English VO is the only option, with subtitles being in the different languages. Even in Japan, Demon's Souls/Dark Souls/Dark Souls II only had English VO.

Good lord I've been on the bonfire area for an hour now. Exhausted all my blood vials. Such an amazing return to form after DS2.

Can I buy the US PSN version and then play my normal account in EU without any negative effects, such as lag when playing with EU buddies etc?

Edit: Saw people write on Reddit that they had bought it and the unlock time was moved forward to the EU time, even though they bought it in the US.

I'm in EU, playing the US version. No problem, it's exactly the same game, even trophies are in my own language. You can choose between local (European) or worldwide multiplayer.

ok I beat the first two bosses now. here's my tips for both.

1)
cleric beast. don't get too caught up in parrying him, it's (I believe) hard to parry him, but it's not hard to just fight him. just dodge and fight. pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

2)
father werewolf. DO parry him. he's very easy to parry. once he gets to his werewolf form, just stay sharp and dodge and work him down the rest of the way.

still streaming at http://www.twitch.tv/tapezilla :) I'm caffiened up like crazy.

The spread versus stab with the cane is fantastic. I like that the second cane shot is tad less wide. Crowd control is actually a front and centre consideration now.

Also changing weapon stance mid-combo makes me feel smart.

Got owned twice by Cleric beast, died on the way back to it when I found a new set of stairs to check out so I lost about 7k blood echoes. Feels bad man... :(

Still having an absolute blast though. :)

Jesus Christ....this is embarrassing but I CANNOT get past these two wolves on the bridge in the first section. I've been at it for like 4 hours, and since I can't level up yet it's getting super rough playing through this same area over and over. Can anyone help?

I tried a torch because a note said they hate fire, but that didn't seem to do anything but get me killed. Molotovs didn't do that much damage either.

It's so weird that a japanese game doesnt have japanese VO yet theres spanish, german... dubs. (Souls g ames also came only in english here)

Beat the first boss on my first try as well! Second dude at the cemetery, fuck man its tough. I just need to sleep lol. I just need to get the hang of parrying and whatnot. Dodging is fun and was hard to get used to.

You should parry him twice, cause after that he's blinded or something

You know the room you come from, just before the bridge? Pull them back to the door entrance, you should be able to cheese them! (They can't pass the door)

It starts getting real when you get to the
Cathedral district
imo. Fuck that
flamethrower guy
. And lots of enemies in big packs.
Church giants
are very easy though.

Try a fire bomb? I'll bait one and dodge its heavy attack for a 2 handed R2 that knocks em down. Then polish them off with a few R1s while they get back up

I love the English VO in the Souls games. Especially because there's a variety of accents, not just plain American English. And the actors are great.
