The cane is so good! I have it upgraded at +2 and I beat the Cleric Beast on my first try. Took me 3 shot for Priest Cascoigne, tho. Never found the music box, nor him as a NPC to help me clear out some of the foes.

Now I'm in The Tomb Of Oedon and I seem to be stuck. There's a big tomb which you can see a crack under it, but I have no idea what to do to be able to move it.

You have to use a key he drops in that area up the ramp on a gate if i recall. on the inside there is a ladder you can climb up.

Go to the courtyard with the big guy banging on the doors, if you unlocked the alternate entrance to it, right next to the lever, look for the window that's chained up on the right side of the lever facing the courtyard

you have to fight the boss to get your first insight! and do not use that insight or she will revert back to a doll and you wont be able to level until you beat the boss, i did this.
 
So how exactly does the coop work in Bloodborne? I've never been a fan of the Souls series, so I didn't pay much attention in the build up to the game. Now I'm really considering it, but the coop was a huge plus point in making me more interested. Can I not just play with my buddies at will?
 
I'm a bit lost, where do I go after the third boss (
Blood-starved Beast
)?

No, you or they have to get past at least the first 2 bosses to have enough Insight to buy an item that would let them help other people. At least this is how I understand it (need 1 more insight to get the item myself).

Is there some sort of trick to killing the hunter guy operating the machine gun on the roof, his gun absolutely demolishes me if I try to fight him =/
 
So after farming for about 2 1/2 hours, I have 99 blood vials, 99 quicksilver bullets, 40 molotovs, 5 different weapons, 2 weapons upgraded to +2, and I'm level 27. And I just beat the second boss.

I'm thinking I went a bit overboard lol
 
Does the co-op password outright prevent you from summoning or helping people without that password? I want to use one with a friend of mine but I don't want to miss out on multiplayer opportunities with other people too.
 
Really disappointed with the frame-pacing issues and the loading times. Really hurts the experience a lot.

Seems like loading was an issue throughout development. The Gamescom build from last year took several minutes to load, from what I recall seeing.

People were saying the graphics were improving between showings.

How has the whole thing changed? Are we looking at another Dark Souls 2 downgrade?

Bloodborne is the latest title created by From Software. The developer's last two entries in the Souls series made their way to PC eventually, so this isn't beyond the realms of possibility. It's unlikely to happen any time soon, however.

It's almost as if the game were already released and you could literally make the comparisons yourself.

No no no no, not at all. The game looks very much like the first showings. I saw it last August and the final game looks, runs, and loads much faster. It's still not fast enough, in my opinion, but it hasn't been downgraded.

That said, the graphics bar has been moved since it was first shown. It does look good but there are better looking games out there now - more than there were a year ago.

So I used my Gamestop bro to preorder the game for me and then was going to pick it up with him tomorrow. He messaged me wanting to comes by and hang, so I say sure. He brings me Bloodborne at like 10pm. Damn gamestop and having an early release for some reason. I'm ok with it but I only played a couple minutes. I got to the axe/faceplant guy and then got another friend skyping me to play Monster Hunter.

I should sleep but I want to play BB.
 
I just ordered on PSN. Why not right? I have the money (not the time)

Any suggestions for a starting character? I want to get something nice and viable off the bat because of limited time. I played Dark Souls and really liked it.

No one has ever claimed Bloodborne is the "most graphically impressive game". The graphics, particularly the aliasing, have been getting slammed for months.

What everyone HAS been losing their shit over (and rightfully) is the art design.
 
I'll be picking up my disc copy tonight. Does anyone know if I put it in and begin installing, and then start playing a game, will it keep installing?
 
I tried pre-ordering the game at Best Buy online a few days ago for in store pickup and it wouldn't let me (says its sold out!). I'll try ordering in a few hours or just go to the store and see if its on shelf. If I have to go to damn Gamestop for this I will. I need to play this today!!!
