I did cheese the werewolves with the whip cane by killing them with the whip part from inside the house since they can't reach.
Supposedly popular (more like poopular) local retailer. I might ended buy another copy first then sell it later.

Yea my preload didnt start either. Had to boot up the PS from resting.

You can even go on the game page and click on download and such, then check the down. queue.
According to google search, the day one patch is the 2.5gb-ish one.
5gb is the game (and it downloads the remaining files while you play).
Was able to put in only about an hour of this last night and I sure wish 30 minutes of it wasn't spent on me trying to beat the first werewolf to death with my fists and (mostly) sitting through the long ass loading screens. Went back with trick weapons and took it down in two swings.

Without any spoilers, what's the general consensus on the boss design and environment diversity?
I didn't read the threads or reviews. Getting my copy tomorrow. Can someone please tell if the game is still difficult and that they didn't add any mainstream concessions? The reason I ask is because of so much advertisement. Basically, is it still the souls game we know and love?

If I join someones game, do I get to keep the loot/boss rewards/blood echoes I earn during the duration of playing together? I would really hope so!
Also does the password have to be 8 characters, or can it be less?
All mine showed up by default right at the start, there are weird controller icons that go with maybe work with motion? No idea how to use motion for it though... just by clicking on them...

its still the same difficulty, however if you've played all the entries prior to bloodborne you'll have an easier time overcoming some of those challenges. is the best way to put it I think

Where did you buy it from ?
the moment you see them swinging towards you is when you have to hit it. different enemies give different windows though so its all about feeling it out.
the big enemies with the bricks in their hand have a wide window, its good to practice on them to get the timing down.

The window is super wide for the big guys. As soon as they start running toward you or lift their arms up, hit the trigger.
Right. But it doesn't always stun- so I'm always worried to fire bc if it doesn't I'm wide open.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Maybe they listed it to shut them up
His window seems very generous.
I nervously blew my load as soon as he started his animation and he still got stunned.

Climb up ladder fast using the run button. Don't walk towards him. Shoot him off ledge with pistol. Reload game to get his items.
Cant really read the thread (avoiding any spoilers) - but last night I got my ass handed to me. It was the complete opposite of what happened in Dark Souls 2 where I was able to beat most bosses first try.
The first boss I came to - kicked my fucking ass.
I also found some crazy optional route leading to a dungeon and ended up dying to rats.
This game is basically what Dark Souls 2 shoudlve been. Its quite the achievement so far. Cant wait to see what happens next!

can someone answer this please? It's the thing on the upper right side of the HUD under your blood echoes count
In whip mode the cane is super easy To use.
Just R1 when he collapses.

I'll try again tho. It seems like sometimes it stuns him for a long time and other times he just like flinches a bit.
Did you fight both of the werewolf-things at once?
Because I had to spam molotovs to get past them LOL
Is stunning a skill or is it a dice roll?
