Important detail: the story doesn't take itself super seriously like the reboot. Some moments are played straight, admittedly, but at least the game isn't trying to be current or make a political statement.Ugh, so much cringe in that trailer. It's been such a long time since I actually watched any cutscenes in DMC4 that I'd forgotten all the "KYRRRIIIIEEEE!" stuff, and throwing four separate snarky anime "Blah blah blah, huh?" lines in there practically back to back was a bad choice
I guess I can suffer through it all again for the glorious return of my main man, though. I wonder what that Concentration mechanic is all about. IIRC, you got huge bonuses to the Style meter in DMC3 SE if you let his sword-sheathing animations play out in full rather than canceling out of them, so maybe it's an expanded version of that?

Actually DmC is much more self aware than it appears, you only have to look at the new ending and pay attention, it fooled all.Important detail: the story doesn't take itself super seriously like the reboot. Trish is cooler though...
Trish is a whack ass Oedipus complex.
Nero has an a Ghost Dad Stand arm that gives him the power of wrestling moves.
And lady is just like a person, just... a person.
Trish is easily the least coolest.
This man knows his stuff. Biker suit Lady is the best Lady too (from DMC anime).Trish is a whack ass Oedipus complex.

Eh, the ending can't retroactively change the tone and subject matter of the game. It really does take itself rather too seriously. If NT had just made new Dante go full-on foul mouthed goofball the game could have kind of worked, tonally.Actually DmC is much more self aware than it appears, you only have to look at the new ending and pay attention, it fooled all.
But DMC can tell a better semi serious story too, like 3, DmC is like a strange combination of 3 and 1
Yep.And that's the difference between a fun story and a cringeworthy one. If you wanna tell a serious story you better damn well make sure it's a good one. TLOU would have been ruined if its writing was aweful.
Trish stood toe to toe with Dante in the first game and it was glorious. A rival/partner who had a disturbing resemblance to his lost mother. It was a cool dynamic.Trish is a whack ass Oedipus complex.
Nero has an a Ghost Dad Stand arm that gives him the power of wrestling moves.
And lady is just like a person, just... a person.
Trish is easily the least coolest.
I like them all, there is no one that is uncool, no one.
Take that back.
Right now.
hahThat's why Lady > Trish.
The real reason we like Trish. DMC1's story is pretty... yeahhhhI love it for its campness <3
#TeamLady
LOL when the hell was that?Trish stood toe to toe with Dante in the first game and it was glorious.
Creedo is kinda lame.
hah
Yeah but she benched a fucking motorcycle so she gets mad cool points, sorry. Also, lightning hands.LOL when the hell was that?
First encounter Dante puts Trish on her ass by just flexing his muscles.
2nd encounter Trish tries to scumbag on Dante by sniping him while he is trying to fight Nightmare. Once he beats Nightmare, he has to save Trish from getting hit by a falling rock LOL!

I don't think much of anything she even did in that story was that memorable and DMC3 retroactively made it less memorable. Like she is a neat concept, but at least for me she isn't much of anything. You talk shit about nero, but his dad makes him more interesting than trish was... ever. For me she's that thing at the end of the cartoon that should have reset... but didn't. I don't particularly mind it but i'm not going to pretend she is much more than Oedipus complex.Trish stood toe to toe with Dante in the first game and it was glorious. yesLady has a good backstory and was well developed in DMC3. She's human. That makes her demon hunting exploits all the cooler.
Eh, while what you said is super opinionated and arguable. I will say i can kind of say the same about dante.Nero is a punk with white hair and a weird arm and no weight to his backstory. He's strong because his daddy happens to be a stone cold badass.
Well yes, it was absolutely a letdown.I mean, I guess I prefer DMC4's story to DmC's utter dreck, but it's definitely a lesser of two evils thing. Seventeen-year-old Me was so hyped up for DMC4 back in the day, and some part of me has never recovered from the disappointment. Couldn't believe that they'd followed up the GOAT DMC3 with this story about some shmuck and his girlfriend where you play half a game twice, there's only one good bossfight, all that Vergil teasing goes nowhere, and the credits roll after absolutely nothing of consequence happens. I've got nothing but praise for DMC4's gameplay, but everything else? Yeesh.
Still day-one-ing the Special Edition, of course, but let's just say I hope they don't make you play through the main story first before you can play the new stuff![]()
Credo, the only serious and heroic character of the Order that was the best boss, sounded like Vergil and had an awesome demon transformation? nah, but yes you could find a few, truly lame ones, mostly on DMC 2
I was talking mostly about the main cast though.
Post Match Quotes
- "It's always fun to have someone around to fight who's not a demon."
- "If you thought that was rough, try fighting me when I'm not in a good mood."
- "All those people to fight one lady? At least you didn't underestimate me."
- "No, I just look like Dante's mother. Yes, I know how weird that is. Don't remind me."
- "Yeah, I'm actually a demon spawn from hell. But I'm really not such a bad girl when you get to know me."
- "Gloria? Who are you talking about? Never heard of the girl."
- "Aren't you a bold one. How long can you last?"
- "I should've been the one to fill your dark soul with light! ...Nah, just kidding. Who'd say something that lame?"
vs. Akuma: "As a former demon myself, I gotta ask you. Is this really the life you want for yourself?"
vs. Arthur: "Don't worry about it. Even good guys blow it."
vs. Dante: "Now we know who wears the pants in the relationship."
vs. Doctor Strange: "As promised, the Eye of Agamotto is now mine! Oh, you didn't promise? Minor details!"
vs. Morrigan: "I don't care if you're a queen, princess, or court jester: you still lost, and that's gotta hurt!"
vs. Vergil: "I dunno which one of you is the better fighter, but Dante could teach you a thing or two about having fun!"
It is subjective. All I can say is Trish made a great entrance and a big impression on me in the first game, and since then she's stuck in my mind as a cool character. I think she's been severely underused in the DMC series. She could be the Jeanne to Dante's Bayonetta but instead she just does sexy cosplay and hangs out at Dante's place while he eats pizza. She should go on missions with him and kill things.I don't think much of anything she even did in that story was that memorable and DMC3 retroactively made it less memorable. yes

" why is dante and virgil so cool,"
"his dad was demon jesus "
Like why lodge this compliant now?
OK but was it a statue of a motorcycle? Checkmate.Nero lifted a statue that was the size of a building.
That's true which is why it's all the more interesting as to how Capcom is going to make this work LMAO! Maybe he had a moment of weakness.
I mean Vergil has nothing on this guy:
When it comes to being proud of your superior lineage yet even Vegeta gave in.
She should go on missions with him and kill things.

Honestly, Dante is such a flake that I bet Trish is the brains behind his business.

I really hope so. Lots for them to show off.I wonder when we'll get weekly DMC4:SE streams from capcom unity..
Pretty sure that's exact what Lady does. Trish is actually about as irresponsible as Dante on the matter of keeping the business running.Exactly, if Trish was out there doing cool things, who would be taking care of the bussiness to stop it from falling apart? or blowing up, whatever.
Credo sounded like Vergil because they were done by the same voice actor.Credo, the only serious and heroic character of the Order that was the best boss, sounded like Vergil and had an awesome demon transformation?
I like to think when Vergil comes back and wanders into the DMC shop he's gonna look at Trish and what she's wearing and give Dante the ol![]()
No, it's region free just like the PS3Are NA PS4's region locked?
Not this again. By buying it digitally all it does is tell them that they don't need to release it in retail because consumers will buy it anyway. I'm not going to risk giving them my money in hope they release a retail version. When they decide to release a retail release then I'll give them my money. Until then, screw them. If I can get a friend of mine to ship me an import copy from Japan, I will import it, if he can't guess I'll be passing this title up

Lady has her own agency, but i guess she gives them pity jobs now and then so Devil May Cry may not be as successful as it seems.
You could easily make that a gameplay quest on DMC 5 by taking missions to buy more fancier houses for Devil May Cry, of course, at the end it gets destroyed.
Has anyone ordered from e-Capcom before? Do they require a proxy?
