If it dropped, I'm sure it was intentional. You can't get banned for picking up an item that was legitimately dropped. If you didn't hack anything then you have nothing to worry about.

I found the boss, but I don't see any relatively sane path back to any bonfire. what am I missing? I found one path up (the spiral tower thing) but it leads to a little tower you have to step out of and I don't see how to get back on if I step off, so I don't think it's a way back.

The 3GB day one patch was bad enough, but then finding out the pre-load only downloaded around a sixth of the game is infuriating. Im generally a fan of going digital but stuff like this is just bullshit.

You're supposed to preload everything not just the small amount you need to launch the game...

I hear you have to have 10 insight to get the bell, but i'm not sure if that's true. I did have 10 when I got it. It's in the Hunter's Refuge. There's one of those bath messenger shops(not the main one) It's located kind of in front of the house where you upgrade your weapons. It's kind of easy to miss, at least it was for me. It does cost 1 insight to buy.

Leave your system on. Click on the Bloodborne icon (options I think) and select the information tab at the bottom and it will show that you are still downloading the rest. It's 28-29gb.

What does everyone think of not being able to rest at lamps a la the bonfires of Dark Souls? I'm not sure I like the decision. If I'm running to a boss and get hurt by some grunt, I can't just run back to the lamp and give it another shot. Instead I need to waste a blood vial or let something kill me so I can try again at full health. I think the system would be more manageable if it had replenishing health items like the Estus Flask, but not being able to refresh enemies and having to farm healing items is a bad combo in my opinion.

I was always a Long Sword guy ever since Demons Souls. I'm leaning towards Kirkhammer, but I cant see ever using the hammer transformation. I'm not a fan of the "big/heavy" weapons in the souls games.

Also, it doesnt matter which class you pick, you get to choose your weapons from the start right?

Correct. Your origin is just starting stats, which can be seen in the OP. And you can choose from three weapons at the beginning. Whatever you don't choose you can purchase later.

Even when you have the disc, the entire game installs to the HDD, so performance wouldn't be different.

Learn it's patterns. Dodge a lot. Stab it's face when it flinches.

If you want to see the progress go to Options > Information

I have extreme, extreme OCD when it comes to gaming. I mean I restarted my DSII file dozens of times counting the exact soul amount I got from killing enemies because I wasn't sure if it added up correctly and I was afraid of getting banned. I shit you not. I even started counting enemies in the forest because I felt there was different numbers sometimes and I didn't want to get banned.

I know I'm a tad insane but it is what it is.

I'm the last person that should have gotten that shitty drop, goddamn. At least, there's one gaffer who seemingly also got it there so I'm not sure anymore. I need a beer.

5GB is PlayGo section. You can track full download information by clicking DS4 Option button on game icon and selecting Information.

I think threaded cane is awsome , the well aimed r2 whip can sort out everything at the distance , hunter on the tower did not even stand a chance. Will see how it will fare later on.

I think it does restrict your coop to people with the password. Don't know the finer details of coop yet ( Still a few hours left till the games unlocks)

It keeps downloading past those 5.9 GB in the background.

Unfortunately I turned off my PS4, fooled by the fact it said complete and my download list was empty.

It's more like Demon's Souls and using archstones to take you back to the Nexus. Only they are in levels like bonfires. Kind of a happy medium, if you ask me.

I'd say you'd dig it, if you enjoy DMC and MGR for their skill based combat. It's not a one-to-one relationship, but these are highly intricate, thought out, wonderful games with a focus on skilled combat. I'd say give it a shot.

You press start at the installed game and check the information. It'll have the download status there. This is the case for pretty much every digital game on the PS4
