Quick question, what is this? VGA? DVI? Anything else?

Father Gascione beast form
is wrecking my shit. I'm trying to summon for help but I've been waiting for a few minutes and nothing is happening.

Are summoning waiting times that long for everyone?

what gun are u using?

Blunderbuss. I've been most successful on the big brick/Headseman dudes.

The riposite needs to be immediate as well. I've gotten people in the stunned position a few times, but had to get closer to land the attack. By the time I took 2 steps the window was passed and they were already back up.

2 cents: DS2 is the most accessible. Also going to be a more active online community than DeS since it's still relatively "new". Of course you'd probably want to wait for the new PS4 version if you are going that route.

Looks like I'll pick this one up. How's the PS3 version? I have a $15 off a pre-owned game at GameStop coupon, so I can get it for $3. Is the PS3 version alright, or should I spring the extra money for Bloodborne?

Amazon delayed my CE until end of April, is this common? :(

Im in Canada and they were able to ship to me from the States. Odd that you guys are getting bummed on this, but did you order late or something?

I ordered like last summer.

I even am sending my copy back, since regular is fine for me.

Serious question/advice --

I have never played (or owned) any of the previous three games. I did try DS1 for about 1.5 hours at a friend's place. I thought it was way too hard, even though I loved the environments, atmosphere, etc

I'm 38 and play most games on Easy or Normal. For example I played Alien Isolation on Novice and still thought it was just about right for me

From the videos and screenshots of BB, I can tell I love the world and environments they created. But now I'm seeing in this OT that a lot of new players still say it's very hard with no difficulty setting?

Also I do not own a PS4 yet. Based on the above, would yall honestly recommend me buying a PS4 & BB? (the cost of buying PS4 is not an issue at all -- but at the same time if I'm only going to play BB for an hour before giving up, then I'm not going to waste money for nothing)

So GAF. Sell me on Bloodborne. My only experience with these types of games is that I played probably about 2 hours or so of Demons Souls when it came out as a free PS+ game and I didnt really get into it that much. It felt slow and awkward and in my time with it, didnt feel all that difficult (I got past the blob boss or subboss or whatever it was so I know I didnt get very far).

Im really intrigued but Im afraid this game isnt for me. Is there anybody else in here that never jived with the previous games but is loving this one?

you owe it to yourself to at least try it. I bought Dark Souls and sold it because I thought it just wasn't for me. A friend showed me the ropes for 10 minutes on the same save game (which was, after 20 hours, still at the starters area before the gargoyles) and he showed me that it was, well, quite simple really.

They have to click, and I think that if you're a gamer, these games will click. For some at a different point than the other, but they definitely will.

You're supposed to do
Blood-starved Beast
before
Vicar Amelia?
No wonder I was having such a hard time. I thought I couldn't enter Old Yharnam...

Watch a blind let's play?

No. The official website can explain it better than I can, but the gist is: a bell-ringing woman will appear somewhere in the current level (if you haven't beaten the boss yet). As long as she remains alive, you can get invaded by players that ring the sinister bell.
HOWEVER, it seems you need to cooperate at least once before the bell ringer will start to spawn in your levels.

Ah, thanks. So it's quite similar to Dark and the host is able to stave off invasions by killing the Bell Maiden.

Good compromoise, i'm happy with that.

Is ENB going to do anything for this game? Where do I go for lore today? The wikia seems bare bones at the moment, but will probably get filled in soon.

So.. how do I help people with a boss I already beat? Beckoning Bell sounds like its just for summoning people into my world. I have 10 insight.

I just finished downloading the first 5GB of Bloodborne. I went into Storage & Management, it still downloading the rest, but it has a padlock icon and where it has 'Application starting' it's got 'Ineligible'. Any ideas what this means?

It's hard, but it's the kind of hard where just as you're about to give up, you have a eureka moment encouraging you to press on. I spent 2 hours last night just trying to get from the first checkpoint to the second, was getting frustrated, then discovered a shortcut. It's so rewarding when that happens.

A lot of the difficulty can be overcome with a guide, to me the exploration and trial/error is an integral part of the experience but if the only way you can play is with a guide, it's better than not at all.

Bosses are of course hard, but luckily you can summon other players to help you. On my first Souls game, i think I summoned on every single boss. Don't be ashamed to get carried.

He's doing the guide. Earning money instead of youtubing it. He'll probably make some playthroughs still.

VaatiVidya seems to have started his YT videos already.
