The AF is fine.

The game looks really good. Technically it isn't doing anything special but there's some really nice textures, high poly counts, great colour and art direction.

Still mind boggled how someone could honestly expect anyone to take their 'review' seriously by calling the visuals 'ugly ass'.

I'm not seeing how anyone can really heap praise on the visuals beyond the great art design as well.

Did you take a remastered version of this shot also?
It was in Halo CE multiplayer so you can't swap to CE:A graphics. I could take shots like that though if there's demand for it. It could be interesting.

As an aside, it's also funny that among my most viewed pictures are pictures of the trackside crowds in Driveclub and Forza 5.

These day 1 patches are getting a bit out of hand. 3 gig patch for Bloodborne and 8 gigs for The Handsome Collection. -.- Yeesh.

Your screenshots here and the BL2 ones on this page are insanely compressed. Like more than I have ever seen in this thread. Do you know why that might be?
 
Bloodborne seems to be hit especially hard by the compression of the Share button on PS4, probably due to the sheer amount of variance in detail in any given scene. nbnt's shots a couple pages back look noticeably better than most of the other shots in the thread. Give us PNG's Sony!
 
Direct feed through my HD60. It's a nice looking game in motion I think. Screenshots ok too. IQ could be better, obviously.

Looks gorgeous to me, like the Souls games before it. Technical oddities and hardly crazy cutting edge, but the art is great and compliments the tech.

The only issue I have with Bloodborne is the disgusting overuse of chromatic aberration. It's the effect at an extreme and really doesn't match the art.
 
These are direct feed pngs... yet the game looks upscaled or compressed somhow. It doesn't look right...

Chromatic aberration. An actual living, breathing, thinking human being (possibly a whole round table of them) actually sat down at a desk somewhere and said I'm gonna fuck this shit up with so much rainbow fringing it looks like an upscaled Wii game. It's hard to believe.

I can't tell which is underlying IQ and which is the effect of the aggressive CA, but I don't like the overall look of the picture. What's in the scenes looks good, but I hope the CA is an optional thing they would consider making a toggle for.

It also appears to be using very low quality (blurriest) FXAA. The game would likely look a billion times better with no AA and no CA, if those are their only alternatives.
 
The CA really is destroying the IQ of Bloodborne!
When we've finally reached a decent level of resolution, new ways are applied to ruin it.
I feel cross eyed trying to focus on anything but the center of the images..
 
I really don't understand why they had to ruin the wonderful art in BB with that awful CA. Ok, "ruin" might be a tad hyperbolic, but it just gives everything that's not at the very center of the screen such a "dirty" IQ. It's like we're back to the hideous color bleed of composite video, but this time it's on purpose. Don't get it.

The ailiasing method they use and the chromatic aberation really mess with the IQ. The game actually looks better the darker the world becomes, that beginning area with the sun beaming makes the game look even worse. The game does look steps above what it looks like in here though IQ wise.
