I can take out Father's first form no prob either straight up or by pistol riposting, but I can't see shit with the second form and constantly get stuck on stuff.

I have to say, much as I'm enjoying Bloodborne so far, it has one of my biggest pet peeves in RPGs: lack of visible stat changes when buying gear relative to what you're wearing. You can see stat changes on the inventory screens when changing equipment, but not when buying it. Whyyyy

I think you can if you hit square or something in the store menu.

I beat the Cleric Beast yesterday, and all day today I've just been wanting to fight him again since I never figured out that you could aim for his head and stun him. I really wish the game let you replay bosses for fun, since I kinda want a rematch.

You could go to the boss area and chime your resonant bell. Someone who needs help with it will summon you.

so whats everyone general consensus with this game

the game is awesome. the first few hours and two bosses were frustrating. the game unflinchingly makes you learn to play the game its way. once you understand the nuances and mechanics, though, the game becomes much more enjoyable.

That being said, I really enjoyed those game so I can't really complain.

I'm only at the very start so I assume they'll introduce a few new mechanics shortly. One thing that puzzles me though, is what the hell all these vials of blood are for?

First boss down. I am digging the shit out of this game so fucking hard. I wasn't really sure I was going to pick this up a couple weeks ago, but after a disappointing few hours with Type-0 I decided to move on. Glad I did. This is fucking awesome, so far.

What a load of shit for the second boss.

I beat him on my first try, and it was ridiculous. During his first form I just stayed behind the tombstones, out of his range, and slammed him with my hammer. I thought it would be cake, until he transformed and destroyed all the tombstones, then it was "Oh shit!!!" He's constantly charging, so you should be able to blunderstun him into submission.

I ended up going down to some sewer area, surprisingly lasted a really long time, and ended up near the bridge seen near the beginning. I have zero sense of direction so far, but picked up 2 madman's knowledge, so I think I can start to level up now.

This frustrates me too. I swear in Demon's/Dark's there was an option to compare to your current gear, but that is nowhere to be found in Bloodborne

Pretty sure those games did too. I know Dark Souls 2 didn't, and it annoyed me there as well.

Can somebody explain this to me? Was I supposed to do something to be able to warp back where I left off? I don't find vague stuff like this where I have to redo it all over again to be fun, just irritating

You can never warp back to where you were exactly.

Whenever you go back to the Hunter's Dream, you can only teleport back to the lanterns. Whenever you do this, all of the enemies respawn (except bosses). It's like the bonfires in Dark Souls. Anytime you would use a bonfire, it "refreshes" the area.

You will go through areas multiple times. Only go back to the hunter's dream when you have something you need to do, ideally fortify weapons or level up. That way, when you go back to the area, you are stronger and it's easier to make it through. You'll start to memorize the areas because you'll play through them a lot, so subsequent runs become easier just because you'll learn attack patterns and enemy placement.

No, the passcodes work with the first two. The third bell you find is to invade people.

I think they delayed them. They changed mine to April. If you chat with them, make sure to ask for some compensation. If they say $5 at first, don't accept it. Say you want $20 and they will give it to you most of the time.

I did that and bought a digital code for $40.

You went in the opposite direction of the first boss, but it doesnt hurt to explore.

I've had mine for two weeks prior for release day delivery. The customer service person I talked to said they had a mistake with the supplier. If you complain to them and ask for compensation, they will give you amazon credit as well as refund shipping and upgrade it to one day.

I ran up the stairs, dropped down on the small roof and waited for the beast form with my Kirkhammer, got a charged R2 in and then dropped down and ran up the stairs again. Rinse and repeat.
