Man I'm love in the game soooooooo much but GODDAMN this even aggravates me more than the load times which surprisly does really bother me at all... I looove to over level early on in souls game I reeeeeeaaaly miss setting at the bonfires to respawn the enemies.... Whhhy do I have to go back to the dream and than warp right back to spawn them... Smh...

You can use
molotovs and try to pull one at a time if that helps. Maintain some distance once they're pulled, wait for them to charge, dodge, slice slice slice, repeat.

My main issue was that I thought they would be as weak as the first one, so after three swings of my axe, I was wondering why they were still alive. XD

Is it far to the boss from there? Once I can level up, I'll be fine.

Second boss spoiler
Father Gascione FINALLY down. Jesus fucking Christ, that battle was bullshit. For a franchise defined by "hard but fair" I have to say that throwing a second boss at players that can jump on them from practically anywhere, knock them down, and give them no chance to recover before doing it all over again is bullshit. He basically one-shots you in beast form. Plus, movement is crazy limited. Make sure not to back up into one of the hundreds of gravestones or you're totally fucked. Goddamn, that sucked.

I killed him 2nd try using this method

He can be parried

What the fuck, dogs seem to have infinite health in my game.

I've went to the hunter's lounge or whatever and they still won't die.

I see you have a bell equipped. Did you happen to ring that bell beforehand?

The server MIGHT be trying to connect you to someone, and what's happening is that the enemies 'freeze' of sorts-Like, when an online game lags and the opponent won't die/takes more hits than usual.

If you didn't ring the bell...then maybe server issues attacked your game?

So I'm still in the first area
got killed by those fucking werewolves on the bridge. Those are way stronger than the first one... Do I fight them or is there a way around
??
There is an alternate path.
In the courtyard with the brick ogre trying to break down a giant door, there's a house with a snooty laughing woman. To the left of the house are some assorted debris; roll through them and you'll find another way around the wolves.

Vicar Amelia
was giving me a lot of trouble. I thought I was on a hopeless run with only 3 vials left and still 50% of the boss HP left. I clutched it out somehow and pulled it off.

I'm shaking, as I spent the last minute or so one hit away from death. Holy crap.

Where exactly is the
music box
?

In the sewer area there is an octagonal room with crawling torsos in the middle surrounding an item. From that room there is a ladder that takes you up to an intermediary platform and then another ladder which takes you to an area with a short bridge. Cross the bridge, kill the Solomon Grundy fucker, then go up the ladder in front of you to open another shortcut and talk to the child behind the window in the house. He gives you the music box.

It's been happening like that several times in and out since then. Regardless if I'm chiming into other peoples games. I had to turn the game off, log out - log back in and then the dogs could die.

Another problem I noticed is that enemies won't die while there is a transition state via the game's online component. May lead to a few unwarranted deaths if things time themselves accordingly.

I feel like me beating the first boss was an accomplishment. Is that sad? lol

Oh trust me it's a goddamn accomplishment. The first time I fought it, I wanted to scream because he killed me when he was at like, 1/8th life. Second time I felt damn satisfaction when I killed him. Granted I used about 10 blood vials. STILL THOUGH, THAT SATISFACTION. The screams it emanated though...they were horrifying with a headset.

Yeah, from what you said it sounds like it's connected to using the bell and transitioning after/before hand and where it just persists. It's a good thing, they probably didn't have a huge amount of servers if they weren't expecting this huge turnout. Hopefully.

I honestly havent been following this game as closely as I should. Is this game ridiculously hard? Because my ass is still sore from the spanking dark souls gave me when I played it last summer.

So how does the death penalty work in this game? I can't find my blood splatter or whatever.
It seems to be inconsistent; either the echoes are left on the ground as a blood splatter, or they're present in an enemy close to where you died (this is indicated by the enemy glowing purple). If it's in an enemy, you have to kill the enemy to get the echoes back.

Go past all of the hunters by the fire it's in the next area across the fountain their should be a gate you have to unlock on the other side to the left after you pass the fountain. It's right there next the the lever... You have to go through the sewer like area to get there...

WTF I just killed the boss that's been pissing me off for hours, without effort.
Bloodstarved Beast. He raise an arm, you shoot him in the face. Riposte. Rince and repeat for all forms. Didn't even have to move. Holy shit I was stuck on that boss for hours.

There's
one more fight against a big guy with a hammer and three crows. I pulled the hammer guy and did him first, then the crows went down fine.

Ended up restarting my game even though I was near the second boss since I learned I could get good armor without having to spend money, plus I learned that it's best to go with the Axe for my STR build since I can get the Saw Spear anyway, which means I didn't need my Saw Cleaver. Running through everything again on the way back to where I was, surprised the hell out of myself when I just beat the first boss and got to the second boss without dying a single time. I seem to be playing way more consistently now.

Game of the fucking year.

Does it build up? Like if I die to an enemy three times the amount equates to how much I had when I died individually?

So question to those of you who have a two handed weapon!

What happens if you press L2, while two-handing one of said weapons?

Do you have three different attacks while two-handing? Or is there some kind of block on L2?

Thanks for your answers! :)

Whew, time for a break. Really really satisfied with the game besides the loading times. Played for a bit last night and some today. Ended up reaching level 35 and just downed the
third boss forget his name
.

Question for those who are past this point:

While going back to the lantern where the paths split three ways, on the way to the 4th boss I died but then a cutscene played of me being dragged and then I woke up in a cell. What is this?

When you're using 2 handed weapons L2 gives you more attacks

Can you get said armour prior to the second boss? If so off to searching I go. I bought the hunter armour.

No, if you die, your previous echoes disappear and your current ones become a bloodstain/glowing enemy.

So if you lose a lot of echoes, you're going to have to be very careful if you want them back.

People are really having problems with that second boss
Father Gaswhatever
. Something I noticed is that when he's transformed,
it's better to get out of the tombstone area, use Molotavs, or dodge towards him instead of backwards
.
