Yeah I second this question. I am very rarely even finding my bodies where they fell.
Sometimes the enemy that kills you tskes them and you have to kill the enemy to get them back.

So my first update. Made me first character. He was going to be DEX route. Was doing fine. Reached first boss. Couldn't get the fucker below half health. After many tries I fucking give up and my friends, who I'm chatting with the whole time as we all play our own game, tell me to make a new char with another weapon. Make a new char. Give him Saw Cleaver. Beat the first boss on FIRST try with new weapon and way less hits. Actually get to stagger it. Blaze through the rest after I upgrade it to +1. Reach second boss eventually. Become a master at countering the

Check enemies in the area- they often "eat" the souls -represented by glowing blue eyes. Kill them and get your souls back.

Sometimes your blood echoes are claimed by an enemy nearby. It doesn't have to be the enemy that killed you. They have glowing purple eyes. Kill them to get your stuff back.

I missed the music box. I looked it up after I already beat him and I was in the sewers too. I actually had a lot more trouble with Cleric Beast for some reason. I beath Father G on my third try.
Not even the enemy that kills you. It can be any enemy in the area.
Be on the lookout for enemies with glowing eyes in those cases. They are holding them.

No need for that. Just do a game run with no leveling and use your fists. It wont be hard once you get the hang of it.
Can confirm glowing eyes. the thing that charges you in sewers had kill me(I thought) and when I got back, nope, stupid crow all sitting there with super glowing eyes. One hit him and got em back....little fucker.
In this game enemy's can sometimes take your blood echos, so you have to kill the enemy to get them back.

Got killed by the two werewolves in the bridge and my blood stain didn't appear, nor did either wolf have glowing eyes. This is a serious problem.

Can someone explain the riposte with the cane? I was fighting the first boss and sometimes he would go into a stun animation where I could R1 him for a riposte animation. I know you can stun with guns, but not sure how it works with the sword type weapons since it looked like I was hitting him after his attack registered

Well I could never do it with cane, but with saw cleaver attacking one of its arms, likely the fluffy left, eventually gets him to stagger. I couldn't beat it with the cane, fuck that cane right in the cane. Saw cleaver all the way
Its at the end of the bridge where there are the two werewolves and the ogre dude with the brick.

His armor is at the Insight vendor and you need 10 insight to even be able to look at the vendors items.

You have to attack when they're in kind of a kneeling state and it should work. It's kinda awkward till you get used to it.

There's a part where you can climb up a ladder to reach a shortcut gate back to the area with the circular fountain where you first see the dogs and right at the top of that ladder is a window you can talk to a little girl through. Agree to find her mother (Viola) and she'll give you a Music Box that her father {Gascoigne} always liked to hear.

after i'm not kidding roughly 30 attempts. I was on him for about 3.5 hours. Somehow I didn't rage quit and powered through to victory though.

. As a side note I ran out of antidotes and health potions multiple times and had to go restock and farm blood. That's some pro-Bloodborne right there.
I'm still not good at this game at all, but I really am enjoying it. Game of the Year so far 9 hours in.
Although the loading screens are brutally long when you are just dying to a boss over and over again.

I think this glitched on me as well cause I died to those two bastards and never saw my soul, er, blood things appear and neither had glowing eyes when i got back. Maybe the birds down the other side?
