I'm 5 minutes in the game and already stuck. I picked up the two weapons and teleported back to the opening spot, but I'm still just using my fists. I looked through every menu, went back to the hub zone, put the items in the chest and took them back out, nothing. Glitch or am I just stupid and missing something?

Fast climb the tower holding O, when you get to the top shoot him repeatedly, make sure you do it right away and he'll just fall off. Make sure you look below for his item he drops, if it isn't there come back later and get it. It allows you to get a new weapon.

Man, people are really having trouble with Father and Cleric. I don't know, I didn't find them that hard at all. If anything, some of the normal enemies are what I have trouble with, the man-beasts and dogs specifically.

Is anyone else getting disconnected from the servers every time they use the beckoning bell? Because I am. Trying to figure out if it's on me or the servers.

You'd need to approach the sewer from above. There's a staircase at the wolf bridge that leads to a small area where some barrels are hiding an entrance to the sewers that you can roll into.

You have to put them in your quick switch weapon slots, then use left and right on the D-pad to switch to them. Hope that helps as I'm not sure that's exactly what it's called in the menu.

I had the same problems with the cane. The move set just did not work for me AT ALL. If you want a different weapon:

The cane straight up sucks. Even if you get it to +3 early game and go full skill no strength it does less damage than the saw cleaver+3 and attacks slower. I have 20 skill 10 str and +3 cane and cleaver, cleaver does 131 cane does 125.

I just got it. Literally the only thing g I didn't try. Even reset the game thinking it was a bug or something. It happened to me with the last of us, you never know. Thanks though!

Cane takes getting used to. But honestly once I got the hammer that has been my go to.

Theres a saw spear you can find in the sewer area as well as a massive pig that when killed unlocks all the starting weapons for sale at the vendor. Personally I reccomend the hunter's axe. It's badass and hits like a truck.

No you didnt, as pretty much that will happen to mostly everyone until you defeat a specific boss and progress further in the game.
