I have yet to fight the Cleric beast, I was just exploring and I came across an area where a bunch of hounds were still in cages, I crossed a small bridge and there was a hound barking at a door, I killed it and then an old lady inside was talking, I talked to her and she asked me to find a safe place, I talked again and she asked me if I had found one and to tell her, I obviously haven't and th eonly option I had was "no" so I hit circle to go back and she responded that she would remember that. Did I mess up?

No problem come back later.

Ah... spent 2 hours trying to kill the armored dick in the corner you run into in the first five minutes. I wish I could say I succeeded.

I finally beat him by cheesing him on some stairs. No good drop though, just a few vials.

So, I beat the Cleric Beast on like my 5th try, but it took all of my items, lol. I then realized after I got back to the dream world, I had forgotten to transform my Axe into a 2H. No wonder it was taking so long to kill him.

The 2H leaves you open a lot and even doing the charge up attack does not stun the fucker for that long. But then again being in 1H mode you gotta be in danger close which isnt exactly any better lol. Esp with how the camera freaks out there when close or trying to distance yourself from it.

I finally beat him by cheesing him on some stairs. No good drop though, just a few vials.

I think he drops a weapon upgrade crystal. Or at least I got one from him before.

Well you can summon at any point once you get the Beckoning Bell and have the Insight. I wasn't able to get the Resonant Bell until after I beat the second boss though.

Yea, it was pretty much a cluster fuck thanks to the camera for 90% of the fight, I was down to no healing items and he was at like 15%, figured I'd blow it and be really fucked.

Old dude sometimes is sleeping in his chair down a overgrown path in the following location. Leave the house from the door that the alter is on right as you go out hang a right then go down that path. Sometimes hes down there sleeping.

Where Im currently at the dude is totally missing unless it bugged.

Weird the doll is missing since Ive only either seen her sleeping or standing.

After hearing Cane horror stories I was worried going into the first boss. I almost killed him first try, but had to tend to something important mid-boss. Second attempt I accidentally summoned help. My own fault for putting the bell on my hot bar.

Two Cane users. We wrecked it.

Yes if you reload your game the drop will be in a location u can pick it up.

I think it's a badge that let you buy a new weapon at Hunter's Dream.

Shoot him in the head. If you do enough (or at the right time?) he'll stagger and you can pull an eye out or something. Do it twice and he's blind

Made some progress tonight I guess, got past 2nd boss on the 3rd and got him to half after my first attemp.

Go back outside and left, there's some stairs that lead up. There's a lever above the area with the coffin in it.

Same thing happened to me - he drops nothing of note, don't worry.

and it was the first boss fight I didn't do on my first try. Finally, looks like BB is starting to hit its stride. Third time was the charm. Great fight.

I'm level 36 now and sticking to the Axe even though I got the greatsword. Kinda wished I hadn't splashed out 20k echoes on the latter though. Such a waste. Even more so when I realise that I actually spent closer to 30k on it since I lost 10k that I was saving up due to a certain kidnapper. The sword just doesn't do as much damage as my upgraded axe and the move set seems too stamina dependent. Shame.
