Oh I know, it doesnt help with big monster. But small monster like the farmer or dog, it helped greatly.
Considering the insight mechanic, I wouldn't be surprised that you can't see the creature because you aren't insane enough to see it.
I might be wrong, but it's pretty awesome if true.

Is there a trick to backstabbing/counter stabbing things?
I managed to do it once on the Cleric boss by fluke after shooting it in the face.

The stuttering is definitely there, and people have complained about it. Less in this thread, as we're mostly just enjoying the game, and I kind of forget about it after awhile. From is working on a patch to improve load times and performance, so hopefully that will help fix the stuttering/framerate issues a bit.

Was lv 28 at the time so didnt take that much damage but yeah I can most def see how it can kill people

You also get +1 insight if u got grab by it. I think this is a feature and not a bug.

I could see an arm / hand and something else as I got carried into the air before the hand tried to crush me. while not fully visible it was half transparent.
I wonder if thats the gate you need to get to the opposite side of and use the lever to open. As there is one of those that goes into the round area with the 2 giants in it.

Really glad I picked Hunters Axe at the start. Perfect mix of speed and damage.

You stuck with the 1st bonfire for a while. You have to open several shortcuts if you want to save time.

There are only 2 really for that area. (hospital) and the one right after the ladder. So its just plowing through all the enemies in the way.
I dunno.
If you give her the brooch she just cries and goes silent. Getting her out of the house seems like it might trigger something later on.

Hmm, I opened the gate past the one giant guy and now Im in that area. Not sure how to open the other gate now.

I cant remember what the route is since there is all sorts of shit in that area with little paths and such, but there most def is a way to go roundabout so you can get to the opposite side of that gate to open it.

A few things, stay at his feet. Dodge through his attacks, not away from them. You can run past all of the enemies to his fog gate. Did you find the shortcut through the house?

Game is a bit glitchy. I ran into a dog that would NOT die. I took out all of its health and a few extra hits afterward, and the thing kept going.
Edit: Never mind, apparently the invisible something isn't a glitch.

Man this game is hard. Just booted up and I think I've died more than a handful of times.
I've never played a souls game before but something about this game is giving me megaman flashbacks..that old school feeling of accomplishment, it feels soo gewd.

Yeah it is. I mean I'm way past this so it's not a hindrance to my progress. I only found out trying to do the quest for a certain NPC that also isn't showing up there.

Then you should search the area more and ignore the clerk beast for a while. There's lots of stuff to find including a major shortcut there's an exit off the bridge before the boss into a house

Haven't tried it but I think a message in the Dream area says it replenishes your bullets at the cost of some health.

So I was totally going to avoid this game since I absolutely hated Dark Souls after playing it a few hours. Why the fuck do I want this game so much after watching a few streams yesterday? What is wrong with me?
I'll finish Type-0 HD first and then maybe grab Borderlands to coop with a friend but after that I'm definitely getting Bloodborne!
I think the other thing that's getting me is change lol. I just beat Dark Souls for the first time very recently. And not Estuses is proving difficult for me, since nobody's dropping anything. However, i will explore more. Any tips on doing more damage to CB other than the whole shoot his head till he's down?
Late last night and tonight combined, I just reached the Blood Starved Beast. What a game. So far (I'm talking early game here), I feel like Bloodborne makes Dark Souls look like a casual stroll through the park.
Compared to the journey through the Undead Burg where enemies stand still until provoked and are largely of the same type, Central Yarnham throws you into the fire with wandering enemy mobs, wolves and giants right off the bat. Yarnham also seems to be much more twisted into itself with multiple levels of elevation in nearly every area, with a much more deeply unsettling and oppressive atmosphere.
Dark Souls was tense, but to me it was also a remarkable, beautiful world that I wanted to explore; evoking a spirit of romanticized adventure through medieval ruins. Bloodborne makes my skin crawl at all times as its stained environments of red and pure darkness etches itself into my memory. Just as affecting as the visuals, the sounds are absolutely unnerving. It's absolutely beautiful in its hideousness, and it's a place of deep dread for me, yet I'm completely immersed and always ready for another session.
I molotov'ed the Cleric down, and the Father boss was exhilarating. The art and design team for the world and its inhabitants really deserve a LOT of praise. It's easily the most inspired and cohesive of From's games. Old Yarnham is starting to really test my limits (lost about 10k souls on what seems like an endless gauntlet until you reach the shortcut), and the area/enemies remind me a lot of the journey from the Oolacile Township to the abyss in Dark Souls.
My only big complaint is that I feel the faster combat really needed a more refined camera. The camera in Bloodborne is pretty much identical to what's been used in Souls games, but the faster pace and my need to pan around with precision and readability emphasizes how weak it is at times. Minor complaints include a couple bugs here and there (A enemy hunter ran right up to me and proceeded to not attack me, allowing me to hack away at it until it died), and the very few times where the frame rate hitched in a significant way.

I think it's because they attacked that old guy Gehrman and they got penalized for it. It's weird since I killed him out of curiosity in two hits and nothing happened to me.
Looking at the blood stain they attacked exactly where I attacked too so I can only assume he retaliated against them. I know that you can attack the doll too as she has a life bar but I don't know what she does if you end up killing her.
Took me about 8 attempts or so but I just beat the Cleric Beast. Wow. This game is just somehow exceeding all expectations. The level design of Central Yharnam is incredible. From continues to pave the way in this field.

Yesterday I bought a PS4 with Bloodborne. I have an old TV with only a DVI input. I connected the PS4 to the TV with an HDMI to DVI cable and wanted to use the white and red cables for audio that I used for my PS3. Problem is the input for PS4 is different. It says "aux" and my TV has no optical input. What kind of cable do I need for audio?? Please help.
