yeah it was a cool shot. on second thought I don't mind the cold discussion with flash, although it does feel a bit too convenient for his face setup for the spinoff series

really want weather wizard to become recurring in season 2 tho.

Then Cisco magically makes a gold gun for his date that can magically turn stuff into gold and they still feel the need to steal stuff? Bitch, just spin gold and sell that.
If it wasn't already obvious from how hammy they are it was explicitly spelt out in this episode, they're just doing it for kicks.

Regarding next episode's promo:

Could they have chose a better person to play the Trickster?

NOPE.
1.0

Hugely disappointing episode compared to last week's. Obviously they weren't going to keep everything that happened but I would have preferred it to keep some of it. Oh well. Bring on Mark Hamill.

It's a CW show. The sooner you accept the relationship drama the easier your life will be. As much as threads like this would make you think Iris is the worst, there's a TON of fangirls of her out there that totally eat up the will they won't they stuff.

Don't just pin it on "being a CW show." There is always relationship stuff in the comics as well.

I actually really enjoy Flash, but damn, that gold gun is so ridiculously stupid.

I mean, even the heat and cold gun are completely moronic, but the gold gun is orders of magnitude above that.

It's interesting that all the episodes with the prison break brothers are my least favorite by far. :( Kinda hoping they don't show up too often in the future.

At least Barry is now on the path to discovering Wells' secret. That's something at least.

Doubt Wells reveal will be as powerful as last week, and I'm thinking that was the peak. Disappointing and formulaic episode this week.

And Iris acting like she did was weird considering how she just crashed Barry bowling date prior.
I thought the bowling thing never happen or something at first.

That reveal is going to fuck Barry up big-time. Think Cisco had it bad? Imagine being told that the only reason your mother died was because someone was trying to kill you...

Watching the episode now.
- Cold and Heatwave meeting with Santini Family head was terrible
- What kind of asshole is Barry that he breaks up with Linda at work and then immediately steps over to Iris seconds later to ask her out?
- "structural engineer" has to be Cold's sister
- ^ I knew it!
- Cisco's shirt is awesome
- How the hell did Cold get ALL the equipment needed to create the guns?
- lol, Cisco is just gonna build a random weapon from scratch? Just like that?
- Barry, "stop thinking, just start doing?"
- ^ dude deserved that for doing Linda wrong like that
- lol @ that gold gun
- Barry takes the girl captive instead of just taking both their guns and trading them or Snart's sister for Cisco? Hell, he wouldn't even have to keep up his end of the bargain, or hell, not even a tracking chip?
- Another reason why Barry is an asshole, dude doesn't give a fuck how him moving in on Iris would hurt Eddie
- "I screwed with time, and now time is screwing with me" is a great line
- DAMN, "what if you travelled back decades, centuries?"
- At least Barr is a bro to Cisco
- Damn it, Cisco
- Aw, Wells, that'd be so touching if you hadn't said the exact same thing before killing Cisco before
- lol @ these 3 stooges on their bikes
- Cold clowning the shit out of Barr needs to happen many more times, convo is too funny
- Cold sounding like The Joker
- Oh shit, the no-kill rule!
- Haha, a little too on the nose with "rogues gallery" drop
- "The Rogues... cute" haha this fucking guy
- Barr was shook
- Lightning Psychosis AHAHAHHA OH SHIT, BARRY IS MENTALLY ILL NOW? XD DYING, CAITLIN ESSENTIALLY SAYING THIS DUDE RETARDED SO DON'T PAY HIM NO NEVERMIND WHEN HE ACTING UP
- OH SHIT, THIS DUDE PHASING THROUGH SHIT NOW
- Barry shook as hell
- Oh jeebus, Barry knows

Episode had a lot of hits and misses, but when it was good it was good.

Was a decent episode but fuck me are Captain Cold and his crew of shitty kumquats the worst characters going right now. Terrible stuff.

Reverse Flash tho fucking slayed. My favourite character of any superhero show right now.

Sometimes I feel like I'm not even watching the same show as some of you people. Hating on Captain Cold/The Rogues? Constant talk of wanting Iris to die?

I have no problems with Iris aside from the fact that her and Barry don't really have much chemistry.
People that want her to die also have irrational issues with Laurael on the Arrow side of things

I keep forgetting the geek and sundry twitch channel. How are the new shows?

Some shows are much better than others, notably The Pull (which is the comic book show linked) and Critical Role (super awesome DnD tabletop show where everyone involved are voice actors) and they're still working things out with some of the shows but the big draw for the most part are the hosts themselves. So even when some shows don't really work that well in their format or if guests end up cancelling, the hosts themselves are pretty entertaining for the most part.

One of the writers on The Flash is currently being interviewed on Geek & Sundry's Twitch channel: http://www.twitch.tv/geekandsundry

Kai Wu is listed as having co-wrote "Going Rogue" and "Revenge of the Rogues." Not sure if she worked on tonights episode though (writers aren't listed on IMDB at the moment). She also contributes to "The Flash: Season Zero" which is the comic series that serves as the prequel to the show.

Edit: For any who may be interested in the segment that missed it, here it is: http://www.twitch.tv/geekandsundry/v/3944210 Kai Wu's segment starts around the 01:06:00 mark.

Cisco = Vibe confirmed.

Was it confirmed before? That he was actually going to be Vibe I mean.

Which is bigger bullshit in the DC universe, Speed Force or "Prep time"?

Speed Force by far.

I haven't really seen too many bullshit instances of Batman's prep time. The most extreme one I can remember is him making a backup personality named Zur En Arhh in Batman RIP in case he was ever brainwashed. Batman also says in his monologue that he can't prepare for the world of gods, think it was a Batman issue that led into FC. So most threats that aren't supernatural he is prepared for.

Why you so good flash? making a deal with cold, classic barry. The fact when he was in that coffee shop and couldn't wipe that smile off his face, think anyone can relate to that and having that feeling.

Good thing it was cleared up and the pacing of the show, beautiful.

I walked out of the room when Iris sat down in the coffee shop just before Barry confessed. I'm only human, I can't handle metahuman levels of cringe

Random question - How did Wells know about the reporter?

Lol, that scene was hard to watch.

I liked this episode. The campiness the Rogues have is a fun counterpart to the level of serious they try to give the other villains in the show. I'm glad they've finally established them like their comic counterpart.

Next episode is gonna be good though. Mark Hamill as the Trickster again? Instant win.

He's Harrison Wells. He knows everything. I'm sure he's bugged certain suspicious people who might be catching onto him.

Also speedforce.

Really, you think that scene was bad? Really?

I mean really?

I mean it was cringe inducing for me simply because you could guess that Iris wasn't gonna accept him like she did in the previous timeline. It's kinda sad knowing Barry finally got the person he wanted to like only for him to lose that connection in a day.

The Iris storyline annoys the everliving poop out of me. It's clear from all the cockblocking that she's the kind of person that only wants something when it's hard to get/someone else can't have it. Chick probably cheered internally when Barry broke up with Linda but in doing so Barry pretty much ruined any shot he had post travelling back. I don't even know why he wants her neither, she's so far below his level in every aspect of being a decent human being that it's kind of funny. I actually thought this episode was a step back in other aspects too considering how good the previous one was, I don't understand his deal with Snart either. Go ahead commit as many crimes as you want dude, just don't kill anyone seems like a shitty ass deal to make, even with his identity being revealed hanging over him. It seems even odder that he only made one halfassed attempt at travelling back in time again but I guess they don't want completely blow open that box in season 1 because it's all downhill for flash storylines the second he starts jumping through time like Dr.Who on crack.

Have we reached peak projecting?

I'm half expecting someone to slip up and accidentally type out their high school crush instead of Iris one of these days.
