I keep noticing something that's driving me crazy. If you're doing the shortcut run to Amelia's room from the Cathedral Ward lantern, you pass by it and it's on your right up on a balcony. I can't figure out how to get to it. Has anyone gotten it?

Edit: Also, there's fire paper somewhere in the area right? Aside from the fire paper you get from Alfred? I could have sworn I picked some up on a different character, but if I did I haven't been able to find it again.

There's a broken railing on a tower just after you run up that huge staircase. There's a ladder to the right leading up to the tower just after the stairs. The drop leads to a roof but it's a pretty far way down. Haven't tried it yet but I'm thinking that's how you get to it.

Jesus, absolutely killing it.

Anyone know what the level limitations between players are for co-op? Googling the issue provides no clear info: Some claim it's +-10 levels, others +-10+0.1*currentLevel, and some say there's no limit at all.

Anyone been able to test this? A friend of mine is a DS veteran and there is no way in hell I'll be able to hold up with his leveling pace, but I'd still like to be able to co-op with him.

I find the kirkhammer pretty good for damage and fast too in short mode. I think I have like 17 strength , 17 endurance, and +3 upgrade.

Kirkhammer is much better than i initally gave it credit for

You REALLY need to understand its sweetspot mechanics to get the most out of it. Not to mention it seems to do more damage if you somehow get its swing to hit enemies on the head.

Also.... The second swing after the charge R2 is bananas and sends even the Big enemies in the Cathedral flying.

Pump Stamina for sure to get those sweet sweet follow up attacks

Holy shit that fight, jeez. 5th or 6th boss spoiler:
Damn shadow of yharnam fight. I somehow beat it on my 3rd attempt. I thought them extending their attacks with the snakes is where the craziness ended. NOPE. These assholes started summoning giant snakes. I ended up barely killing the last one and just had run out of vials. That was intense.

Just light the lamp in Hemwick Charnel Lane, and traveled back to the base but when i try to travel back to HCL it isent to be found on the list, is this a bug or does it happend for everyone else?

lol. btw i still cant believe edge guys only found 6 weapons after 40 hours. seriously?

Dude its just like Demons Souls!

This game is densely packed and its easy to miss things. Not to mention all the branching paths for sidequests

I HIGHLY recommend watching ENB's videos behind your playthrough to show just how much is missable.

There's three teleporter stones all next to each other in Hunter's Dream, Hemwick is one to the left of the of the one you've been using.

Check the two gravestones to the left of the one you usually use in the Hunter's Dream

I think some people actually believed the "there are only 6 weapons in the entire game" stuff from the edge preview thread pre release.

This game seriously rewards backtracking and exploration

TAKE YOUR TIME guys

You will miss all the roses you can smell otherwise

It seems that bloodstains disappear if you log out? I died, and on the way back I chased a lizard, killed it, but the body fell. I logged out and back in to try and get the items back, and my stain was gone, and no enemy had it

yup lots of stuff is optional. I wonder all those ppl who complaining about the length of the game probably missed a lot.

It's actually fairly impressive that they only managed to find 6 weapons in 40 hours

Going in absolutely blind you can get 6 weapons in like 2 hours

Probably a bug

I am level 20. I am wearing the Hunter clothes from the
sewer
. I usually just spam R1. I keep upgrading skill and endurance. Am j ready for the second boss?

Sweet. For that matter: does range matter more than with the pistol when aiming to trigger a parry, what with it being a shotgun?
That I couldn't say, but usually I have an easier time getting a stun with the Blunderbuss up close
Is there an advantage to smashing everything box/barrel/vase I see in sight or is that just instinct?
There's lots of secrets behind crates and barrels

Embrace the joy of breaking wooden shit by rolling

yeah I'm maybe 7 hours in - lots of that was dicking around past a certain locked gate I opened. I've found 6 weapons and 3 guns on top of my starter equipment. It's cool that you find badges that unlock them in the store instead of weapons, but this feature would have been far more useful in the souls games than bloodborne. Why would I need to re-buy a weapon if there aren't tons of branching upgrade paths?

That's what I freaking love about this firmware is how much it helps disabled gamers and gives them a chance to make the controls more friendly. The option for button mapping will be a standard on consoles moving forward.

It is, quite literally, a game changer. My only complaint is that you can't save multiple presets (e.g. for different games). At the moment I'm only using it for BB so I can just turn it off and on but I might like to use it for other games in the future.

Quick question has anyone figured out how Insight works? Beyond coop?

Also if you start getting the consumeable for it pretty often in a later area?
A store in the Dream hub opens up, above the usual blood echoes store when you have 10+ Insight and yes, you'll find a bunch of insight consumables as you journey ahead.

It's completely random for me no matter the timing and direction I dodge. Sometimes it misses completely, other times I get hit by 3-4 projectiles

you need to learn its attack pattern by watch how it move its body. its really easy to recognize which attack is about to come : explosion, shards from the ground or from above. if you see its about to unleash the meteor before the meteor actually appear in your screen, just run sideways maybe roll a bit. it will not hit you.

Roger, so is it worth upgrading the early weapons?
You can beat the game with any weapon. Further weapons you find won't be direct upgrades so no problem upgrading stuff early on if you want to actually use them

I'd practice parrying a bit

You'll need it. Level-wise you're fine

Where is the hunter clothes? I felt like I searched the sewer but I still can't find it. I just hit level 19 by upgrading vitality more. . still haven't beaten any bosses yet. Farming echoes, blood stones, vials, and bullets

So
I'm in Central Yarnham and I encounter the first mob of guys. Kill them quickly and turn around a corner. This huge hulking sunuvabitch LEAPS AT ME and slices me down in one hit. Is he even beatable at this point?
Fucker just stole like 1500 of my Blood Echoes!

So I used an insight for help on Father G yesterday, nobody spawned after 10+ minutes. Still lost the insight, what the hell.

We need to spread the work about how to get the coop items

There is a Shop in the Hunters dream RIGHT in front of the Library that only opens when you have 10+ insight.

It sells the items needed to Help or Invade players (the bells)

Its really easy to miss the entire online component untill this becomes a known thing
