Bloodborne |OT2| Praise The Moon

Here's the deal with Bloodborne. I have no idea how, but just the atmosphere and combat alone is making this "living up to my hype". Even though there are a lot of other elements to the game, I just consider the previously named things as GOD tier. Really SSS-quality. We're talking next to perfection.

The world is amazing, that's for sure. I would be lying if I said there were not a number of things that I miss from the Souls games, but the world and lore so far in Bloodborne are without equal.

so should I just leave the little
spiders
be and focus on the boss?

I would say
for the start of the fight and the first time the boss teleports, go ahead and kill the small spiders. The boss is fairly non aggressive until it gets to about half health, and clearing out the small spiders at the beginning means less for you to deal with when the boss is low health. After that, feel free to ignore the small spiders and focus on getting hits on the boss and then moving out quickly.

Edit: Also, go ahead and use fire papers. Extra damage always helps!

Where is BSB?

I've gotten to an area with a huge enemy and a dead end, an area with a friendly npc and an area below with a lamp and a dead end...

OT1 lived a short but happy life. Kind of glad I was able to beat the game before OT2, at least!

That's about 2/3rds into the game, so not too much left if you're excluding optional bosses.

Seeing as you beat it, small question;
the part in Yharnam when the city turns purple after that fight, where do you go at the part with the spider guardian shooting laser beams? Please don't tell me you have to go down the staircase he's shooting at...

Christ, there are a ton of spoilers floating about in this thread.

Thank you to the folks who are using the proper tags.

I post but generally I don't read too much into people's posts unless I can tell at a glance that it covers something I know about. Spoilers were ridiculous with the last OT. Like gifs of boss cinematics ridiculous.

When people talk about their builds are they implying that they are:

Hitting hard or soft cap for vitality
Hitting hard or soft cap for endurance
Hitting soft cap for their stat of choice?

Maybe a Bloodtinge/Arcane build would be fun to have if that means I'm just looking to hit the soft cap for those stats

Yes, go down those stairs. Have fun!
At least there's a lantern at the bottom of them.

What are the caps for each stat?

Sorry Chiggs. I've not posted much, and that I have its abbreviations and fairly cryptic.

But you're right spoiler tags from now on.

Can you even use it and warp from it? I left that area a bit age, and it seems everything near that section cannot be warped to, so I literally have to run from the first lamp after Father Gascoigne to there. I imagine you can AFTER you beat the boss in the area, or activate something, but goddamn.

Beat two bosses with one try today
(Paarl & Amelia)
, feels so good.
Also, is it just me or did some of the enemies' colors change to white after defeating
Amelia
?

There are new lanterns in that area that can be lit and used, so if you get down those stairs and light the new lantern, yes, you can warp there.

I haven't started yet, but my copy should arrive today.

Is it practical to build toward using the Threaded Cane and Kirkhammer? These are the two coolest looking weapons I've seen, but it seems like they might be mutually exclusive, one scaling with skill and the other strength.

I kind of regret buying it, honestly. It's about as good as DSII's CE artbook, which was pretty slim as well. Artbooks are my favorite piece of CE swag but this one wasn't all that interesting.

That's what I've been hearing. I'm probably going to pre-order dat thick Future Press Strat Guide instead.

OMG finally my combo arrived! Cant wait to get home, set everything and play!

HYPE!

Cannot seem to beat the second boss. Feels like my game is bugged.
After Father C transforms, I hit him or throw a molotov at him, and his health doesn't go down. I don't know what to do.
