MeGame is straight up addicting. Curious if any of the naysayers from before launch have tried it and completely changed their tune?

I didn't get the game because I'm not in MP and I don't like the idea of rushing through levels to find gear, the entire reason I like Elden Ring or other FROM's SP Souls games because I can take my time and explore at my own pace.Game is straight up addicting. I like those aspects of From games too. In fact I like the lore aspect of all their games the most out of all other aspects. I would suggest getting this game when it goes on sale and giving it a solid try as a from fan!I didn't get the game because I'm not in MP and I don't like the idea of rushing through levels to find gear, the entire reason I like Elden Ring or other FROM's SP Souls games because I can take my time and explore at my own pace.
But the game is not made for solo players like me and I hate roguelike with passion.I like those aspects of From games too. only use left and right, no down/up/diagonals/etc., in the worst case scenario just untarget and the retarget while looking at the thing you want to target.Anyone got any tips? I'm using a controller.
One thing I really appreciate about it, that the rogue-like element brings out, is that you really get to experiment with spells and weapon arts in ways the base game never really allowed you to.But the game is not made for solo players like me and I hate roguelike with passion.
The game is great for people who enjoy co-op but for me I played all FROM games solo and offline, I have zero interest playing with other people. One thing I really appreciate about it, that the rogue-like element brings out, is that you really get to experiment with spells and weapon arts in ways the base game never really allowed you to.
I've had a lightning bolt build, hoarfrost stomp + dual wield colossal weapons, greatshield tank builds etc. that I would've never played around with in the base game.
Not only is fighting bosses and enemies with these builds fun in-and-off-themselves, but you really get to try out weird combinations of stuff, as if it were a professionally crafted mod.
I get it may not be for your, and that is totally cool, but there are elements I think almost anyone could appreciate.

I heard this is not design around solo play even some bosses have mechanics that are require another player to help you out.Cool story, you can play this solo *and* offline. As someone who prefers the solo experience myself I will say Nightreign is a lot more fun with a team but that's subjective and solo play has it's charms.
ok this is 2 different kinds of bullshit:
Just would not leave me alone in particular, the pure rage some of these bosses have
And wtf even happened here?
You can save the ult for at least the second one, because the first one is easy to break. Mostly it's just not being greedy and watch him telegraph his attacks. The symbols appearing below you that can oneshot you are pretty well telegraphed if you watch his hands. Just don't be animation locked for long/greedy, because that will fuck you up.Libra is breaking my balls. is ther a different strat than saving ult till he charges up the buff to break it? Except ironeye shooting at the symbols. Nobody I play with seems to know how this works
I literally could not even dodge fast enough, like give me a small breather ffs lol the timing was going out of the window thereTbh, seems like you're getting hit by almost every attack
And yeah that seems to be a bug, had it happen to me multiple times too.
I literally could not even dodge fast enough
wait so you can also break it by attacking him while he charges, rather than attacking all the symbols, some of which are in the air so you need ironeye for? I tried that just to get nuked by ground AOE around himYou can save the ult for at least the second one, because the first one is easy to break. No, I meant that you can easily break the first meditation by running through the symbols because it's only 3 symbols. Then save one of the ults that can break it for the second (or third) meditation, because those are harder to interrupt. But you can still kill him without interrupting the meditation. It's just watching him telegraph his different attacks and don't be greedy during that phase. Don't be animation locked for too long/spam attacks and watch his hands.wait so you can also break it by attacking him while he charges, rather than attacking all the symbols, some of which are in the air so you need ironeye for? Thats a good one, will keep in mind. No, I meant that you can easily break the first meditation by running through the symbols because it's only 3 symbols.
Might be a while, haven't found anything official yet cept the main theme on apple musicI think I might be blown away by the music more than anything else in this game, I really really hope they do a vinyl soundtrack.
One of the many reasons I love this game lol. Playing with randoms, no mics obviously. I set the marker to under the castle, we all rush there, arrive and see Bell Bearing Hunter, we all instinctively nope the fuck out
For people with friends it is more fun. My brother plays the hell out of it despite dropping Elden Ring. To play it solo would definitely suck.Reviewers are idiots. This game is just as fun as the main game.
It's not that bad solo. Enemies in groups tend to target you one on one instead of ganking on you and you get more runes so you can level up decently. For people with friends it is more fun. My brother plays the hell out of it despite dropping Elden Ring. To play it solo would definitely suck.
Is it viable in solo with the current patch / balancement?
I'm only missing the Crater trophy3 trophies left to plat, all RNG dependent, Shrouded City secret which will also give all Shifting Earth secrets trophy, Oldest Goal trophy. Over 80 hours clocked now, there are still a whole bunch of weapons I've never seen in a run. One weapon I had yesterday had an affix where magma would appear under me before exploding, first time I've seen that one, cool stuff.
Expect to die a lot until you learn how to play a character and get good relics from the random relic item from the Small Jar Shop, from beating bosses or Nightlords and Remembrance quest rewards per character. Is it viable in solo with the current patch / balancement?
Nope its random, I got it at like level 6 on Day 1 which helped as its half healthI'm only missing the Crater trophy
Gonna spend all afternoon forcing the event. Tried for 30 min yesterday but all I got was City and Forest.
From what I read, the oldest Gaol needs all party members to be lvl 10 minimum to spawn the Ancient Dragon.
Did my part. There is some interesting bits in the "what you didnt like" part. Hopefully thats some indication for future updates. If you guys want to participate in a survey regarding the game, here is the link : https://survey.bandainamcoent.co.jp/jfe/form/SV_ezFcLevNV9hPkSa
It takes less than 5 minutes. I voiced my opinion about the game needing more variety if the game wants to survive long term. More bosses, characters, events, terrain changes (shifting earth), weapons, etc. Also lack of crossplay/chat.
Killed 3 day 3 bosses over a week ago and I must have played close to 20 games and not able to find 2 random that are able to carry my weak ass ability over the line.
Feels bad!
The last game was going so well and we all died in the rain on the way to the tree little circle therefore ends in defeat.
Feels bad!
You can do it! I think I've got a success rate of about 33% with about 40 expeditions under my belt. But I've gotten much much better, currently on a 3-win streak (my best being 4).
Beat the final boss yesterday, was my second attempt. Both times I got Blade of Calling for Duchess which does incredible damage to him. We finished him off with a combination of an Ironeye weak point + Blade of Gold weapon art for +3K damage, amazing fight.
Will be going through more remembrances now (seems like there may be variations in the ending cutscene) and just started playing Recluse. She's definitely able to do incredible damage, but it makes me so greedy and reckless that I really need good teammates to keep us alive lol.
Every day 3 boss fight is me losing 90 percent of my fladks and health trying to revive someone.
It takes far too long to revive people that I'm now thinking it's just not worth it. If you die when playing with me you die!
3 purple bars for reviving needs fixing in my opinion.
To be honest, I think that's the explicit purpose of the 3 bars. You're not really supposed to be able to keep getting your teammates back up without massive risk / investment / teamwork. Though it could be a good difficulty modifier, limiting it to 2 bars instead. In accordance with your sentiment on dying, If both your buddies are down with 3 bars I'd say just focus on the boss.
Saving ults for reviving can be super clutch though! Revenant insta-revives in quite a large area, I'm pretty sure Guardian can also revive a full 3 bars with his ult. Not sure how much Wylders does.
Not sure I'm good enough to carry anyone but I might have time for some team-ups over the weekend (on PSN, Northern Europe). At the very least, I think I can carry myself.
