what is this "
beast roar
" item I have? I still haven't figured out how the fuck this stuff works...

That's an artifact - unlimited use items, basically spells that scale off Arcane. You'll find a few more like it, some are super useful.

game would never allow me to use my beckoning bell

just gray-ed out and unclickable

stupid - tried in so many different areas just wanted a buddy to join for a second to test co-op out

I'll ask agian since nobody answered me. Where do I go after beating BSB? I bought the key that was 10,000. Im not even sure where to place that, or if Im on the right track. Some one help please

teleport to cathedral, go through the left door, then straight up the passage, there are a bunch of gates up there, one of them which unlocks with that key.

After the fourth boss.

How to get to Yahar'gul? I know there's a phantom that takes you there (around the church) but i can't find him? The last boss I beat was the witch and after that I went to the tomb of odeon and killed the hunter.

Help me guys :(

You have to beat another boss or two, first.

For me, Bloodborne's bosses are several orders of magnitude easier. Solo, none have taken more than 5 tries, almost all of them done in 2.

Quelaag in DS alone killed me more times than all of Bloodborne's bosses put together, so far. I don't think I ever would have been able to beat O&S without summoning another player...

I die a lot more in between bosses, in Bloodborne, though. A lot more.
Bloodborne was the first game in the series that I actually considered difficult. To counter the increase in mobility, they ramped up the aggresiveness of the bosses a hundred fold. It's fantastic to feel a challenge.
I just beat
Rom
and go to the
unseen village
. How much longer have I got? Because I've done everything else I can and only have 16 hours on the clock. The game seems substantially shorter than DkS if I'm genuinely reaching the final areas, especially if there's no more archstones to unlock.

Or are there more behind that gate in the hunter's dream that I can't open?

At least I haven't done any of the Chalice dungeons yet. That should give me plenty more play-time regardless.

I don't know what actually triggers the final boss to activate, but in my play I had a lot of play after beating Rom.

There's a massive locked door below where you fought two hunters, one of whom wielded an electric mace - when you try to open the door, a black swirling blob appears. Walk into it. That'll transport you the rest of the way in a somewhat bizarre fashion

Yeah I seen that, where was that door i forget

Ugh I just wasted two insight trying to get help with
Father G
. First time someone showed up and I got trapped in a corner during the
beast
phase and I got killed by the long attack animation. Second time no one showed up and I died. Ugh. I'm never gonna get to ten insight now. What a waste.

Something's gotta be screwed up. Waited over 30 min to be summoned (never happened) & now I've waited over 30 min for a co-op partner for the BSB battle (I'm level 26).
The fuck?

If I exit my game (getting tired) will I lose my active insight that I used on the beckoning bell?

Oh. For me, it's greyed out. I guess that's because I lack 15 arcane. Didn't realize!

Already committed to bloodtinge. Still hoping for a better gun than the pistol. XD I finally got another gun from the
badge that gives the greatsword,
but it seems to be worthless.

It could be a few things...

1) You're offline

2) You dont have PS+

3) Some areas dont let you summon regardless

Holy shit, finding out about Insight affecting monsters from Reddit is really cool.

And here I thought it was the story progressing that made them change. But having high Insight giving them new abilities makes total sense given that I'm sitting at like 40 something Insight at the moment.

Beat the boss in the Forbidden Woods. First one I beat in my first try too!!!
These guys are nothing copared to the 3 giant guys from DS2

Also, I found an item that gives my weapons arcane damage and I'm wondering if it's good enough to level up my arcane stat up to 15 (it's at 10 currently)

Guys, any reason not to use those items that give you 1 insight?

Dat Graveguard set.

Shadow of Yharnam down and I am calling it a night. Those guys are brutal.

On a side note, The Forbidden Forest is such a great place to farm echoes. Especially with the rune that gives you more equipped (the name eludes me).

Man, the Stake Driver is awesome. I was originally keeping it around for a backup fun weapon when I got bored of Ludwig's (which is really good, but kind of dull), but it's turned into my main weapon. As long as you're willing to play super aggressive and dash into people's faces, you can tear enemies apart.

Is it worth getting Arcane to 15 for the items that use them? I've found
Beast Roar
and
Quickening
so far.

After beating BSB, i'm not sure where to go. Just kinda ran around and managed to fully stock up on all my vials and bullets. Feels great to run back to earlier areas and beat the shit outta all those enemies lol

one other question... is there a way to reliably farm or get bone marrow ash? this stuff can actually make your pistol do big damage, if only there was a reliable supply of it..

Dat Graveguard set.

I use this in PVP. I think it's intimidating and probably gives me an edge.

incidentally did you guys ever find the little creepy
spider on the cliff face
in nightmare frontier?
right near the spot where he cutscene shoves you off. you can actually throw shit at it and knock it off.

I'm the same level and have been waiting for 20 minutes at BSB. I just want to beat this boss!!!

Oh my god, I just figured out what happens if you (post second boss spoiler)
send the little girl to the chapel

Fuck this, I'm done for now. This guy is just so annoying, need a break to regain my focus. I even used the reckoning bell, summoned a few people on multiple occasions, they die as soon as he uses his ranged attack.

I have this whole set but the mask, did you find it separately?

It powers up enemies and adds tougher ones in certain areas. There was a youtube video that showed the difference - some now had elemental damage added to their blades (blue flames) and extra magic attacks.

This only happens once you go above 25 though. I think. The dude in the video was doing a comparison between like 7 and 27 insight.

Don't worry, insight will start rolling off like candy soon enough~

Ok nevermind fuuuuuuuuck that

Goddamn I need to git gud. Beaten all 3 Souls games, so I'm not new to this type of gameplay. But I can't pass the first area lol. Only played for about 2 hours total, but still. Never been an first area this hard before.

Shame noone knows to equip the white armour set with the high arcane resist. You take A LOT less damage from his ranged stuff. There's also a rune you can equip to add +7% resist to arcane which really adds up over the course of the fight.
