Yea he tranforms at end. It took me about 6 tries. He has been the hardest so far and I'm 6 bosses in.
is the kirkhammer good for anything? I have it upgraded to the same level as the axe and yet it does a lot less damage, even though I levelled up strength to 17, and the stat numbers for the hammer are bigger than for the axe..

Dodge right and be careful she has a few attacks that cover wide area. Take your time and damage her legs. She will fall/ stagger and you can actually get a visceral attack on her head
You need 10 insight and purchase it from the messengers in the birdbath just outside the house in hunter's dream.

there are so many different ways to go about playing the middle of this game it's hard to say. You could do the unseen city as the second to last area of your playthrough, or you could do it early on. the enemies respawn because of bell maidens. I think the most effective thing to do is run past them until you figure out where you are going and/or find the maidens. There is one important, missable item in that area though, so make sure to search thoroughly once you have your bearings.

It's amazing how easy a boss is when you use a effective strategy. Blood craved beast, I was getting my ass handed to me as I kept side stepping backward when he did his attacks. Then I started thinking... All his attacks are frontal, so instead of side stepping backward when he attacked, I side stepped forward , bringing me behind him.
This seems to go for many other bosses in this game.

You made the right choice,must remember to increase the Skill state if you want to increase damageI am using Cane...Did i do a wrong choice ?
I am happy with it for now..But i dont know how it will be on bosses
And the following goes for all weapons:
Use both forms of the weapon and find the situations where each form thrives.
Practice transforming your weapon while rolling, attacking mid-combo, dodging, and after a backstep.
In both forms, practice normal attacks from all of the above conditions
Level up and repair your weapon frequently.
When you get the ability to socket gems, do it. There is no cost/penalty to swapping gems out so feel free to swap gems out whenever you get a better one.

Did you find the cave area that leads up to that gate that was locked when you first left sick room. The one to the right before you opened the gate to Central Yharniem when you first walked out of Losefka's clinic. Also up there you can fight Losefka Himself.

+8 cane and empty phantasm combo which adds arcane damage to weapons (thats why some weapons scale with arcane but do not have any damage of this type) are so OVERPOWERED. Accidentally entered
with about 50k souls started panicking as i know people have problems with this encounter. Boom first try did not even use the whip lol just arcane buff. Think i am gonna go with 20 arcane to see those summon spells i collected.

The empty phantasm shell doesn't scale with arcane. Or at least it's tootip doesn't indicate that it does.

So, I'm in the area after the prison
for the second time, with the red moon. I want to make sure I'm not about to head into the final boss because I don't want to go straight into NG+ yet.

Ok did not know that. Still adds an awesome buff to the weapon at only 3qs. So i wonder are there any blood gems of this type ? That would be very interesting.

I'm a bit tight with money these days ( clients are REALLY late with the payments... sucks big time ) so I sold some games to be able to join the Bloodborne party. Got the game yesterday and I'm loving it so far, just upgraded the axe and going to try it on the 2 werewolves of the bridge ( those 2 killed me a little bit before, revenge ! ).
Apart from the long loading time, I'm really bothered by the chromatic aberration... I still have a HD-ready TV and the artifacts it produces are really weird and ugly. Don't know if it's less a problem on a full HD screen...
Got a question : I don't currently have PS+ and so far, I'm able to see messages and ghosts of other people playing - and dying. What online features are enabled only with a PS+ subscription ? And what will I miss without one ?

My copy arrived early yesterday - managed to get about 6 hours in. First impressions are very good - motion gestures are back, as is the nerve-racking sprint/jump function. It's like Dark 2 never happened. Although it does retain great things from that, i.e. using multiple soul gem things. Atmosphere is incredible, I love it. Haven't been invaded yet, but looking forward to it. Souls experience definitely pays off - I got through the first area to the first couple of bosses in a single run. Load screen is definitely painful, and seems strange when you die and reawaken in the same area for it to take so long. I'm expecting a pretty hefty amount of changes in a patch ala Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2.
I think it's just that you cant join others in co op or invade. Dont know how it is with getting invaded tho.

That fight is so crazy. I recommend sneaking up behind the lone one in the stairwell and visceral attacking him to death.
Chromatic abberation are there to sray even with full hd screen.
I would guess invasion and coop is locked behind ps+.
Multiplayer. Co-op and PVP are missing without plus.

Ok so I have beaten Father a long time ago. I am actually at the 5th boss now. But it turns out that in the area where I fought Father boss, right next to the bonfire has appeared a hunter similar to Father. And the guy is just ridiculously strong. I honestly got myself raped more than 5 times now... thing is I cant even use the damn bonfire because of him. Any tips?

So I just cleared Nightmare of Mensis, and wow what an awesome area! It's like a perfect blend of the Tower of Latira, and Anor Londo. When I went back to the hunters dream it was on fire, and the closed gate is open now. Am I at the end?

Did you originally talk to the queen in the church in Central Yahrnam and get that gesture. This happened to me when i spawned there but she was there already fighting him so I helped her and she gave me another gesture.
It means there's an npc event in the Grand Cathedral.

Really easy to cheese that hunter, simply just keep forcing him to a set of tombstones since he can't shoot through them and keep hitting him with the axe.
