I'm looking forward to your next post.

I know where this is leading, unless you've already gotten there.

That's exactly where I stopped yesterday. Three choices. I went down the one with the two hunters, took out the lightning one and just ran from the overpowered blunderbuss hunter. Kept moving past a few Axe wielders, then thought better of it and poofed back to level up a bit.

Blood Rock! +10 weapon inc :D

Can someone explain how arcane scaling works to me? Does it only affect weapons that have elemental gems in them? I heard it affects the power of the Stake Driver's R2 explosion and I'm trying to build my character around that weapon because I love it.

Hoping to finally get some decent time with the game tonight and tomorrow. Can't wait.

It probably does affect the Stake Driver explosion but that's a really esoteric build considering you very rarely have enough time for a full charge on it!

When I get summoned I see my health gets capped. Its because the game caps my level to enter the +/- lvl range or Im just weaker as a helper?

I'm on trouble, out of blood vials, and low on blood echoes.... I tried killing all the enemies in
Old Yarnham
but they barely drop any anymore... what the hell?

Blood Starved Beast
gave a me a rough time. No problems getting him down to about half health, but once he got more aggressive and starting spewing poison, I was getting wrecked. Partly this was stupidity on my part -- I thought I was poisoned as soon as the little bar appeared so I was constantly trying to get away to pop an antidote and using way too many. I also didn't realize that you could still parry his later attacks without getting poisoned too badly. Once I figured that part out, it only took a couple more tries and only one antidote tablet.

Question: How do I get to the asshole on the
gatling gun
in Old Yharnum? I just assumed that I would automatically encounter him by following "the" path through this area, but I opened up a couple of shortcuts and made it to the boss and back without ever getting up to where he is. What did I miss?

I tried parrying this asshole, but I could not get the timing down. I would shoot right before it attacked but it didn't stagger the boss. It ended up attacking me anyway and then gnaw on my head.

So easy once you figure it out. I had axe in short form to move and strike fast. Equipped the armour set with 50 poison resistance. Get as close to him as possible and dodge left every time he attacks, he will miss everytime. Two of his attacks leave him vulnerable afterwards for a quick strike. The key is staying close to him and dodging left.

I jsut rushed him and knocked him off the roof...

Just make sure to quit and reload to get the drop to respawn on the roof

So just shy of 29 hours and the game is over. What a fantastic time. I only did two chalice dungeons so there is plenty left to do and that new game +. Praise the moon.

There is a ladder up to him right after you fight the hunter in the area.

Source: he's killed me 5 times in a row.

You missed a ladder
.

well I was thinking I'd put an elemental gem - once I find one - and pump arcane a bit.

Right now it's a 'backup' weapon that I use for either very fast or very slow enemies. It works great for that. Also my playstyle is 'counter shot everything' so I could probably play with no weapon most of the time, lol.

You are most definitely not supposed to be there yet, I got send there once too, you can go up the spiral staircase nearby a couple of levels to find a lantern to get out

Im there too after beating BSB

Where should i be going after the 3rd boss?

I knew that area was too hard

A tip
shoot him off ledge with gun, its really that easy. Just spam bullets till he falls. When you reset area his gear will reappear at the gun

Maxed out endurance (40) + 15% +10% endurance rune. This is insane, I can do 13 hit combos now (202 stam)

After struggling greatly with Amelia, I bulldozed over the fifth boss last night. Damn it feels good :D

The Hemwick Witch is like from some deranged childhood fairy tale. The whole area with the cottages just reminded me of Hansel and Gretel or something, but obviously way more fucked up.

I just can't get over the art in this game. Seriously amazing job by the environmental artists.

is there a shortcut to
amygdala
? or do I have to jump down and run through the poison every time, doesn't take particularly long so I'm guessing there isn't

Anyone getting a glitch where your gun is neither visible nor useable? I've tried everything. It isequipped, and It have used it up until I started added gems to my axe. I'm confused.

Sorry that your skill level is so high ^^, i will be at 50% of the game after 30h because i suck ^^. Good for me, i can play longer ;)

If you need blood vials you can farm loads on the trip between Central Yarnham lantern and
Father Gascoigne
Old Yarnham is better for farming echoes though.

Coop is a giant fucking bust this game. Lock people out of helping until 10 insight and hide the item away in a fountain. Lose 1 insight when trying to summon even if nobody comes.

Trash-tier design

Yeah, Antitrop told me about that last night. It's my first order of business when I get home from work tonight lol.

I'm having some issues with my checkpoints, I'm not sure if my game is bugged or something

Basically the last checkpoint I have is Church of Good Chalice, but I've been to the Forbidden Woods and this other place where I was teleported when I died, I got both checkpoints, but neither of them are showing up on my teleport place.

Is my game bugged??

Check out the other tombstones to the left of the one you're using

Almost at 10hours now

Fighting what I think are witches after a forest but backtracked to old yarnham for a while instead

I have still yet to see the bloodstarved beast.

Anyone wanna tell me where it is?

The brick fatties in the cathedral and central yarnham drops vials most of the time. as for blood echoes there's a place where you can farm them kinda easily but i'm not sure if you have been there , to access that place you
have to get captured by an enemy that turns red.

Are you kidding me? Thanks and wow.

You have two weapon slots for each hand, as seen on the equip menu. The dpad buttons swap between them, each corresponding to the hand of your character.

You're the second person I had to tell today, I don't mean to be a dick but I think it's good advice to review the game's controls before freaking out.

Something weird just happened. I just spawned at central yharnam to farm some blood vials and all of a sudden
i get attacked by one of those furry monsters from old yharnam.. and he dropped a rune that increases visceral attack by 20%
