I'm finding this way too easy. I got from the very beginning, after you die to that beast before you get your weapons, all the way to defeating the Cleric Beast without dying once. Please tell me things get harder?

So uh yeah, I'm stuck on a ladder with a giant ass pig trying to get to me. What do?

lol, climb up the ladder outside his tunnel entrance, go across bridge and climb down another ladder to come in behind him. walk SLOWLY up to him and R2 to him then R1 to pull out his bung hole.

Yes they do. I did the same early on but now...

Just like the other Soul's games.

Tip to deal with that boss below:
I recommend staying close to him and making sure to stay back when he starts slamming the ground or dodge as he tries to grab you. Don't attempt to stun or use molotovs. It's a waste tbh.

I got him on the first attempt by just dancing around him and through his legs. The camera angle is bad at times, so remember to always try to have him in your sight. You could try skipping locking on.

Thanks, I actually kind of rage quitted yesterday but Im ready to try again today :P

Completely agree VA and BSB in particular were practically pushovers in comparison, didn't even die to BSB.

You just accidently unlocked a great area for farming souls and blood vials. Just don't waste your time on the santa's, you can walk away from them.

Is there an exit to look out for when I'm ready to leave?

So do you guys think Gascoigne
killed his wife? I thought it might have been that beast he kills when you see him, but maybe some beast came and he just killed everyone? The girl says the box brings him back, suggesting he was a danger to his wife occasionally.

I have the materials necessary to make my first Chalice Dungeon. Is that something I want to do as soon as possible? What are the rewards? Couldn't find much info on the wiki.

Sorry I already posted this but thread is so quick!!!

Can anyone confirm if you can play offline while downloading patch and then reload and start playing online after patch is installed? Cheers, in advance!

I think
he definitely did, considering she was looking for him and where her corpse lied, she was probably thrown there. Either that or the villagers Gascoigne is mangling killed her.

Regardless, It was probably what tipped him into going completely insane.

I find it a little odd after the souls games to have this stash of insight that is permanently safe from being lost. I was kind of waiting for my number to disappear after death or some type of occurance, but it seems it doesn't need to be paid attention to at all.

Oh it's not safe. Some things can remove it from you. It is safer then most things though, but even that comes with a downside since the more you have the harder the game is as well.

I think he transformed and killed his wife. I mean, look at the guy, he's not exactly a model of stability.

Ok I got the PvP bell and the bell that allows me to be summoned into other peoples games.... and I got the PvE bell that allows me to do Co-op with other people... if I do boss helping then do I get more insight each time?

...and what is the good boss to do as the third boss? It seems like I have more than one choice...

I am now level 27 or 28 and I am mainly upgrading vitality, endurance and skill BTW.

repeat question for new page:

From reading these threads almost everyone seemed to die at least once in the opening hour so I went into the game expecting it be tougher.

is there any way to cheese the bsb fight i've tried it all
Go through the locked gate in
cathedral ward section (key costs 10k)
and explore until you find the armor there that has high poison resist.

Use fire paper on your weapon.

That combo made the fight very easy.

Got Father G down to 10%...like 7 times...I will vanquish him today!

Spoiler below on how you can make that fight a little easier - optional if you want to read it or not.

Use the tiny music box. It basically stuns him as he finds it agonizing. You have 3 uses before he transforms and 1 use afterwards iirc.

You can also try parrying him when he charges, but that's way harder after he has transformed.

Link to a walkthrough detailing where you get the music box. Do note that it is full of spoilers - visit at your own risk.

Stack up on insight.

You will get fucked.

Keep playing. Enjoy.

Is staggering via guns always meant to work when you shoot the enemy as they are attacking ? Because it's not always working for me. Are there attacks that don't leave enemies open to being staggered ? I need more info on that mechanic.

stuck in cathedral ward. Door on the right is closed, if you go left and up the stairs the main gate needs an emblem. But I've been everywhere else I can see.

In that grave yard to the left of lamp post, don't go up the stairs to where that giant guy is, there is another path in area that leads down to elsewhere.

you have to talk to that guy past the sniper and two dogs. Twice. Then, go down under the crypt and past the werewolf and to the lamp of old yarnham. The door on the left can now be opened.
