Shoot him twice in the head (have to make sure that you have a clear line to his head) and then tap R1 to riposte him for big damage.

Go up the stairs in the upper area of where you fought Father G. Go through the door, and keep going until you get to a chapel (can't miss it -- there's only one route). One of the doors in the chapel leads to Old Yahrnam.

Probably mid-75% of the game.
You can rush it all after the forest.
This game is really hard to judge because of so many missable areas.

Ok I've made it all the way through the3rd arch stone now. There's 2 closed doors back in the cathedral ward area that have been bugging me the whole game. Have I missed something or should I keep waiting for a key?

I can confirm that some mobs only spawn if you have a certain amount of insight. for example some demon thing in the hemwick area.

Played a bit last night... not too far from the cleric,.... but I have a question. How much easier is the fight if you level up? It just seems you can do much more damage by leveling and modding your weapons. Is this true?

, and it seems I now have 2 or 3 paths before me. Which would be the best or least difficult after beating that 5th boss?

I know there is a path if you drop all the way down the Healing Church Workshop, don't know where it leads yet. There is also going to the one door where I need to give the password. Also I've only met one of those Bag dudes and he was to the right of Vicar Amelia boss room after those 2 hunters in the lower area. Am I screwed if I killed him from going to Paarls area? Or am I still too low level to go there anyway and should I be going to one of the other 2 paths?!

Are you sure that's related to insight and not after defeating the area boss? I'm assuming you're talking about the same spawns from that fight.
From the cathedral ward lamp post go out the door on the left and take another left and follow the stair and you'll see some villager enemies on the hunt. Wander around there and you'll find the old Yarnham lamp post eventually.

Don't you have to fight him to awaken the doll?

Got to that other Cleric Beast before beating BSB and gave it a try. Nope lol. Now I'm clearing out the witches area (whips so good) and I just leveled up like 5 times after one shortcut. Your days are numbered, Reshiram in a dress.
