Bloodborne |OT2| Praise The Moon

If insight actually does change the difficulty in the game it's yet another thing about Bloodborne that I dislike. I think it's a very cool idea, but it leads to a very uneven experience (and encourages dumping insight for offline players). When playing through Dark Souls for the first time, every enemy was just as difficult for me as it was for everyone else. Every time I started a new character I knew what to expect. I just prefer that consistency.

I prefer this system. I was disappointed when they removed world tendancy in Dark Souls.

Yeah, something definitely seems to be up with the summons today. I'm sitting here at the boss door in the Forbidden Forest and nobody's shown up.

So cold... So alone...

What's the best option after taking down
Amelia
, given that I also did the
Hemwick Witch
before ? Should I try again
Paarl
? I also wonder where we can get the passworld in the cathedral area.

Man, this sucks. I haven't been able to sit down and play the game since Tuesday. I played until I beat cleric beast and stopped and haven't played since. I just can't find the time between work and taking care of my infant son (who won't stay still and content for more than 20min or so).

Parent life.
You need to do a better job at parenting

lol

So, I beat
BSB
and went back to Cathedral Ward. I went through the newly opened door and up the tower outside until I got to the locked door. I then went down the tower, dropped through the huge pit from scaffold to scaffold, made it down safely and out the door. Slaughtered the
KKK-looking MoFos
on patrol with great ease, and then made the mistake of trying to backstab the
bag man
without realizing what he was. Got captured and taken to prison-village. Escaped prison village. I guess my question now is should I continue exploring the area beneath the Cathedral Ward tower or should I save up the 10k souls to buy the key to open the other locked gate in Cathedral Ward?

I think I screwed up something. I managed to
find the red brooch for the little girl, but while talking to her I randomly died for some reason in mid speech. When I come back to her, her window is darkened and there's no response. I didn't get anything from her.

Am I supposed to get some reward for completing the quest? Is it vital to continue? If so, should I restart? Don't really fancy fighting Gascoigne again...

Hit level 111 with the build I want to try.

50 Vitality
40 Endurance
25 Str
25 Skill
6 Bloodtinge
15 Arcane

Can't dupe the insight item for some reason since my pebble is stuck on the item that gives you blood echoes. So the most I can get my insight to is 50 right now

the password is in the cutscene from touching the skull after Amelia. If you watched that, you can get through the door.

There is a game breaking bug with multiplayer in the forbidden forest. I wonder if they just disabled it until the patch comes out.

When can I start doing Chalice Dungeons? I'm currently at Old Yharnam.

As soon as you kill
blood starved beast

I was summoning people to help with boss in castle, and my summon killed me. What the fuck, how did it happen? I mean it told "Small resonant was discovered", he arrives in front of me and kills me.

Anyone else experienced it?

When do the messengers in the upper area at the hub become available? I can still only buy from the one on the bottom where you get blood vials and equipment.

I've only just downed cleric beast and am about to go back to bridge now and figure out where to go

Do the ritual chalices follow you with NG+?

I just had a Bloodborne moment this morning while walking to work, it was/is rainy and cloudy, so the environment is gloomy and with some minor fog, so all of the sudden a church Bell ringed....

Yeah, they are all viable. I'll probably start a second character to try the Cane.

It's just that the Axe is extremely versatile and does a ton of damage. And unlike previous games, your build doesn't dictate dodging, rolling, and movement speed. So, it's like the best of both worlds.

Have you tried the r1 ->L1 one switch combo?...moves as fast as Ive seen a weapon move in the game.

The hammer has a higher stat scaling for str so it will do better once people raise their str stats. Right now the saw clever and axe appear to be the hardest hitting, although I hve seen poeple who know what they are doign detroy things withteh cane as well. That whole mob of enemies on the bridge before gascoigne went down in two whip smears...even the axe doesnt have that range.

What?
It is just a normal monster with a bigger body.
The boss is staggered by every big hit.
But good place to farm insight though.

Yes the actual encounter is nothing special, but that's one of the reasons I like it. It's a really basic fight, fairly challenging and really tests your dodging skills. I also like the actual look and design of the character. On the top of that
The story behind the character, and horribly sad screams of grief from her are amazing.

went to the forrest, got shot the fuck up from every direction

well ok then

Why did they take Estus out or not make an equivalent? It was cool in the first area since health items were practically a guaranteed drop from the hammer guys. Now I gotta either use my souls to buy some or go back there, farm some and then return to my business.

Between the load times and that, going after a boss that's busting your chops is needlessly tedious.

Is it just me or did the IQ jump about 50x now that Night as come? IT IS GORGEOUS!

The soft moonlit ambiance seems to be helping the sharper lines and everything looks like it has more shadow depth or something. Looks phenomenal. I've caught myself going back to earlier areas just to see what is new.

Also love how the enemies have changed a bit now that it is Night. Awesome.

This game may indeed jump to my Top 10 favorite games of all time list. Demons was already my GOTG last gen, but this one is blowing it out of the water completely. So close. But not quite there. But it is definitely my favorite game since, at the very least, TLOU. It is incredible.

need 10 insight

And last chalice question (I hope!), what's the difference between all the tombs (1-6)? They cost the same amount and require the same amount of chalice.

Regarding the disappearance of something from the Hunter's Dream (around third boss)

Should I be concerned about where the old hunter in the wheelchair went or just keep playing?

Another productive day. Had a 6 round duel with the BSB, which the BSB won 5 to 1 but I got him in the last round lol

Acquired Ludwigs Blade as well of course, what a beast of a weapon amirite? I have a date with a witch now.
